Regular Member chicago1990 Posted January 5, 2015 Regular Member Share Posted January 5, 2015 Hair loss has affected me in the worst way, making me feel very negatively about my appearance. I've been dealing with hair loss since the age of 18. For years I would dye my hair blonde, hoping it would make my thinning hair less noticeable ( I have dark brown hair). But only causing to thin even worse. In December 2014 I had a hair restoration procedure. I researched doctors and had many consultations before choosing one. I went with Dr. Panine of Chicago, and so far the experience has been great. Dr. Panine has an amazing portfolio, showcasing his talent. Staurt Rosenberg, Panine's partner, also does a fantastic job of making you feel extremely comfortable and going through all of the pre and post op's. Stuart and Panine do a thorough explanation about hair loss and answered any questions of what my expectations were. I wanted to get as much coverage and thickness as possible in the frontal area of my head restoring my hairline. On the day of my procedure Dr. Panine and his staff made sure I was comfortable and relaxed. Everyone is very professional and helpful while I was getting ready. The procedure takes an entire day, arriving at 9:30 am and leaving after 10 pm. The plan was to do a procedure for 3,000 grafts. Stuart drove me home after everything was complete. The next morning I returned to have my hair washed and a refresh of post op instructions. My pain and discomfort lasted about two days. Overall it was an excellent experience and I would recommend Dr. Panine to anyone looking to have a hair restoration procedure.

Regular Member chicago1990 Posted September 15, 2015 Author Regular Member Share Posted September 15, 2015 (edited) I just wanted to update my 8 month results from my procedure with Dr. Panine. At this point I could not be happier with my results, I do know that it will still improve over the next few months, but even if it didn't I could not be happier. I also now that with my degree of hair loss we were not able to complete the whole entire scalp, but I plan on having another procedure later on down the road to fill in more. Thanks Dr. Panine for the excellent result. If anyone is going through what I was I would truly considered this procedure. The scar is only noticeable if I cut my hair super short but otherwise no one can tell. I can't wait to have the procedure again to finish the back of my crown.
