New update;

Day 190, 6 months after my surgery with Asmed clinic.

Generally, I am satisfied with progress, although it is painfully slow. The only thing that bothers me is my hairline. It is still pretty much see through, and because of it I still cannot spike my hair in the front. I hope it will fill in the next few months. I am concerned a little bit cause I can see some thin hairs here and there emerging (never sure If they are miniaturized old hairs, or new, unmatured ones), but there are no new, instant thick growth.

I guess I'll have to wait for some more time.

Hope you guys are all doing well.

I think your on track at the 6 month mark , but I see what you are saying about the hairline being thin , with your hair laid flat it's looking great , would be interesting to see some wet hair pics to compare with the ones posted earlier in the thread. Still another long 6/8 months maturity to come .... Keep the faith :)

In the last two months I had some more growth and thickening, and as of now I am trying some new hairstyles that I couldn't sport in previous years. :)

Overall, I am very satisfied with the progress, but I would still like some more improvement in the density over the hairline in the next few months, as it is still a bit see through. Especially under the harsh light.

I am already experiencing hair greed, and would probably go for a last pass in next two or three years, to adress the crown and maybe to put some additional grafts in the hairline.

Also, someone in the previous comments asked which medications I use. I am currently (for the last year and a half) using only Proscar (without any sides) and vitamin supplements. I had some bad skin issues with liquid Minox in the past, and do not intend to use it again anytime soon.

Any comments are welcomed and appreciated.

Wish you guys (and girls) all the best!

Great results my friend I am glad your expectations were met. Very happy for you. I know you initially said you will keep this thread alive for 12 months post operation but I am hoping you keep updating every quarter.

Brilliant results that make me want to take the plunge and book myself in, congrats!

You mentioned in a prior post that you'd like to be able to wear your hair spiked at the front. Would your current density allow that?

I think your hair looks great, I wouldn't know you had any work done, if my own result comes out 75% as well as yours I will feel I achieved a great result.

I looked at the soccer player Wayne Rooney today and his result is nowhere near as good as yours with many thin patches.

Congratulations.

Guys, thank you for your comments and positive feedback :)

Bahrain,

I'll try to update this thread even after 12 months pass.

ersko72,

yes, I can spike my hair in the front, and it is looking good. I'll just let it grow a bit more as it is only 3,5 cm long in the front, and then post new photos.

densedream,

from what I saw (and experienced), preoperative measures and planning are as equally important steps as operational ones in the FUE process in Asmed clinic.

Hi guys, it has been awhile since my last update, so here it is.

In the last two months I had some more growth and thickening, and also let my hair grow a bit longer.

I think I'll soon go for a haircut, I just wanted to have a wild hair for some time, that is something I couldn't sport in the past five-six years.

Hair is all about mess, but the feeling is great :D

In the end, I am more than satisfied with my results. It is looking good, and I have more than one option for the next haircut.

Since it is all about illusion of density, my hair looks really dense after washing and drying, and somewhat thin after three or four days, when it is greasy. Different lightning conditions affects the overall result a lot, so in times I have a chance to admire the volume and density and sometimes I think it could use some more grafts.

I can finally say that my FUE was a complete success, and it worked out really good for me. My thanks to dr. Erdogan and all members of the Asmed team who worked on my case.

Pictures were taken in the late afternoon, in a room with artificial raking light, so I owe you guys another set of pictures in the daylight. In the meantime, feel free to express your opinions, good or bad whatsoever.

Cheers

win200, thank you for your kind comment.

Just for a quick comparison, two pictures of my hair before the last surgery.

First one was from January 2014, 13 months after my first, semi-successful FUE with unrecommended eu clinic, and before I started taking Proscar.

Second and third one is from the July 2014, 7 months on 1/4 daily Proscar regime.

When I look at these photos, I can really see how far I've manage to come from that nightmare.

Guys,

thank you all for your comments.

matt3480,

yes, I had some more growth in the hairline during that period, but I think it was mostly the thickening of the finer hairs that occurred and drastically improved the final impression.

I have to add that my left temple came out a bit denser than right one (but not drastically). I will probably go again to Asmed in a next 2 or 3 years to add density to my crown, and would probably add a few hundred grafts to the hairline (there is no real need for that, just my vanity :) ).
