Senior Member FUE2014 Posted December 21, 2014 Senior Member Share Posted December 21, 2014 I'm three days post op and the swelling started at the top of my head and has now moved to my eyes, just in time for Christmas!
Senior Member Squatch Posted December 21, 2014 Senior Member Share Posted December 21, 2014 I think it is common to have swelling three days after surgery. I had minor. Looks like it hit you harder. No pun intended. I bet it is gone by Christmas though. Good luck! JoeTillman
Facial swelling, when it gets bad, usually gets obvious around day three and is usually gone enough to not be an issue by day six. It causes no side effects or damage, just uncertain glances and the need for large Bono-esque sunglasses:)
Senior Member AB2000 Posted December 23, 2014 Senior Member Share Posted December 23, 2014 Similar for me. My face became misshapen the day after my last day of surgery. All of a sudden it looked like football and my eyelids were swollen. What helped was taking an ice pack to my face to bring down the swelling and to take some Advil for the pain. Senior Member pkipling Posted December 23, 2014 Senior Member Share Posted December 23, 2014 That's some impressive swelling. Make sure you're sleeping slightly elevated, as that should help some as well. Until then, enjoy the "battle wounds". I am a patient advocate for Dr. Parsa Mohebi in Los Angeles, CA. Senior Member FUE2014 Posted December 23, 2014 Author Senior Member Share Posted December 23, 2014 Thanks guys, beginning to subside now and I can now see out of both eyes, it's quite scary having your eye swollen shut for 48 hrs so a relief I can see again.
