The beard transplant is not so easy to perform. Here is a beautiful example

Recommended Posts

This patient came on March 2013 for his intervention.

Usually, the choice of the grafts is reduced to hair.

When the hair is thick enough, the result is often very good.

But some factors have to be respected : the adequate number of grafts and hair, and the cut of the beard has to be quite short so the structure of the hair, different from the hair will not be visible.

The patient received 3356 grafts.

Recently, he came back for a new surgery of 600 grafts.

Pictures show the result of the first intervention.

It is funny how beauty is often in the eye of the beholder. I have a densely thick beard which I shave clean and prefer to use it as a potential donor source for my crown if needed someday. Personally I think thin facial hair is more aesthetic and as for myself never cared for the "Brutus" look.

Agreed. Have no idea why anyone would want to get FUE done to create/enhance a beard.

Shaving is a massive pain as it is.

FUE is expensive

He might need the grafts in future if he has hair loss issues and wants a transplant

Seems a totally mad decision to get it done

This is fascinating to me. It looks great, first of all, but it never even crossed my mind that this was something people would be so concerned about and go through an expensive surgery to have repaired. My facial hair looks like this guy's did before the transplant - and while it might be cool if I had the full stubble/beard look, it would have never even crossed my mind to do anything about it. I'll stick with my minimal scruff and my standard HT. But kudos to this guy for taking care of business... (I mean seriously... FUE in the face? Dude is a boss.)

I am a patient advocate for Dr. Parsa Mohebi in Los Angeles, CA. My views/opinions are my own and don't necessarily reflect the opinions of Dr. Mohebi and his staff.

Check out my hair loss website for photos
