Senior Member SunnyCool3 Posted December 28, 2014 Author Senior Member Share Posted December 28, 2014 (edited) Like I said earlier, I was very concerned about going back to work after procedure. Work environment is very formal & professional so wearing hat to work wasn't a possibility. I decided to grow my side hair in order to conceal the scalp especially the recipient area & the scar. I didn't want to trim hair very short as that isn't my style & I do not find myself comfortable doing it. Also I didn't want to use concealers (products like Nanogen & Dermmatch) - just a personal choice. I was able to reach pre OP stage within 5 weeks after procedure and nobody was able to identity that I went through surgery. In last few years each day it's just about hiding baldness; no hairstyle at all. Hope it will be better in next few months & I could style my hair. Please refer to attached pics. It's been 2 months and 1 week post OP. Things are right on track & I am noticing sign of early growth. . Senior Member SunnyCool3 Posted December 28, 2014 Author Senior Member Share Posted December 28, 2014 Thanks guys. Dr Ron gave me a big compliment the way I covered my scalp. He said this is extremely smart and you will never need any concealers after procedure. Nurse at Dr Konior office said the same thing. I was like that's all I've leart, 'how to hide baldness'
Senior Member SunnyCool3 Posted January 5, 2015 Author Senior Member Share Posted January 5, 2015 Growth - I've noticed lots of new hair around the hair line & mid scalp area. Not sure if these pics will be able to show them as new hair are small & thin right now. Pimples: I still get 2 to 3 pimples at one point of time. I just ignore them for now as there's no major concern. Redness - is almost gone. Scar - healing well. It looks like a thin pink line now. It used to be dark red, then faded red ... now it's just a light pink color.
Senior Member hadenough2014 Posted January 5, 2015 Senior Member Share Posted January 5, 2015 Thanks for the pics, Sunny. Mine looks like yours in many ways. One more month and we should be having a lot of fun!
Senior Member SunnyCool3 Posted January 5, 2015 Author Senior Member Share Posted January 5, 2015 Yes mate. It's going to be fun after a month or so. I can already feel the hairline which was defined during the procedure. Actually lots of hair came out around hairline. Hard to visualize in the pic as they're short right now. It will be more meaningful in next 4 weeks. I am also seeing progess around the mid scalp however nothing much on the crown.
Senior Member SunnyCool3 Posted January 19, 2015 Author Senior Member Share Posted January 19, 2015 I am just 3 days short of 3 months post OP. I took these pics in harsh lights. Senior Member FUE2014 Posted February 2, 2015 Senior Member Share Posted February 2, 2015 Good luck sunnycool. I noticed you too had purple dye on your head. I had this after my procedure with Dr Feriduni and I actually forgot to ask him what the point of it was. Took a few days to fade.

Senior Member hadenough2014 Posted February 18, 2015 Senior Member Share Posted February 18, 2015 What do you think, Sunny? The top picture is always the real indicator. I see some patchy areas, but do you feel it continues to progress each week?

I see some patchy areas, but do you feel it continues to progress each week? So far go good mate. I am happy with the progress so far. These patch areas might be due to Rogaine foam. I just applied foam and then clicked this pic so hair are little wet due to foam. I'll try to post a pic with dry hair after the bath.

Senior Member SunnyCool3 Posted February 18, 2015 Author Senior Member Share Posted February 18, 2015 Oh ya! Progressing well. Just thinking today that you and Hadenough2014 were due for a update. Thanks man. So far I have had been using long side hair to cover the scalp. I was just wondering if I could trim my side hair and make them same size as the transplanted hair. . That way it's easy to monitor the overall progress. Give me some advise here. I'll be going for my first haircut post OP in the first week of March. You think I should get my hair trim in March? or just wait for the April hair cut cos by that time even transplanted hair will have good length and it wont look weird at all. Wht do you think? Senior Member Squatch Posted February 18, 2015 Senior Member Share Posted February 18, 2015 I'm trying to figure out if I am going to do the same thing. A sorta comb over thing or use Toppik/concealer. That Toppik does wonders. Have you played with a concealer yet? I posted a few shots at three months with it on my thread. I never used any concealer so far.. that's why I decided to use my side hair to conceal the recipient area and it worked very well. I almost reached pre OP stage within two weeks of HT. Now after like 4 months post OP, I dont feel like trying concealer when I didn't try earlier at all.I am excited to trim my hair to see the actual change in my appearance but not sure when is the right time. May be April.
