Finally had my Hair transplant by Dr Radha

Hi All,

I am from Bangalore. Finally after a looooong research I had my hair transplant from Dr Radha on 14th Feb 2014.

I have read a lot about her in this forum which helped me finalize her. I must agree she is a wonderful human being and a very warm person. Its like getting a HT done from a friend.

Now coming to the facts.

The doctor said I need something between 2500 to 2800, but to my luck the strip extracted had 3000 + grafts. She said she ll be able to give me better density with those additional grafts. My procedure started a little late around 11:30 so ended a little late too. It was almost 9 in the night when my procedure was over.

I reached the hotel after the procedure, but was feeling very drowsy. Due to this I ended up vomiting twice in the night. I was very scared thinking I might have damaged my grafts but the next day when I met the doctor again, she said nothing is wrong with my grafts and they are all intact. I was so relieved to here about this.

I am attaching my post op pics. Guys please let me know how this looks like.

Thank you all for your feedback.

Hi All,

Today my 21st day post op. Donor area is almost completed healed. But I have noticed some small pimples on the transplanted area with generally no puss in it (only couple of them had puss in it).

Please tell me if this is normal or if its something that I should be worried about and take additional care.

I started noticing these from 14th day post op its and almost a week now but they are still there.

Again, thank you all for your kind help.

Pimples are common after hair transplant surgery, although they normally occur at about one month post-op and beyond.

It sounds normal at this point but it couldn't hurt to discuss the problem with your physician jsut to be safe.

Hi All,

Attaching my 4 month post op update. Sorry for the low resolution pics. I am kind of happy with my results so far. But I am still waiting for a better density.

When I was 2-3 months post op, I used to be able to see very very thin hairs growing which now has grown thicker. But I am unable to spot such thin hairs now no matter how hard I try to see them. May be I am unable to see them coz of the newly grown hair? Not sure.

I havent seen much different from past 1-2 weeks. My concern is, will my density improve any further? Will there by any new growth still which will turn thicker as the time goes? Please comment.

Your comments are highly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Hi David,

Thank you so much for your reply.

My question is "Have all the hair already sprouted by 4 months and will only get thicker going forward? Or the new hair will continue to sprout for some more time?"

I am asking this because I dont see any very thin hair any more. Something which I was able to easily spot when I was 2-3 months post op.

You'll continue to see new hairs sprouting for some time to come. Don't worry. Give it time. Your transplant hair will grow in waves.
