Regular Member TonyB Posted January 22, 2014 Regular Member Share Posted January 22, 2014 I recently read that nettle root is good for preventing hair loss. Have any posters on here used it and if so, what has your experience been? Thanks
Senior Member sl Posted January 31, 2014 Senior Member Share Posted January 31, 2014 Hi Tony I am on it and so far so good, been 7 months and have honestly seen some new hairs on it under my ht hairline coming in. Not saying it will work for all but for me so far so good and very inexpensive. I was on Saw Palmetto for years and in the first years had also some regrowth on that and after researching decided to go with to nettle root due to the way in which it works. Worth trying for sure and you don't need a lot of it, I get mine in powder form and use, far cheaper also that way. I represent Dr. Bisanga. Senior Member sl Posted January 31, 2014 Senior Member Share Posted January 31, 2014 I take 1/4 teaspoon 2 x day with water. Some will take more for non hair related issues. Any herb can have side effects so wise to see a doctor/specialist before taking to make sure is recommended and any side effects it can have. I represent Dr. Bisanga. I saw that you feel you have some new growth after taking nettle root, did it take 7 months for you too see some evidence ? Are you on any other meds ? If so, are you sure it is the nettle root that is working. I myself started nettle root after reading this thread. I have been taking it for about 2.5 months now so keeping my fingers crossed I may see something.

Regular Member DaSpiv Posted June 17, 2014 Regular Member Share Posted June 17, 2014 Where did you buy this nettle root and how many mg? Hi I bought a bag from JustIngredients about 2 kg I think , it wasn't expensive and I take 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon twice a day. I am guessing the bag would last me in excess of a year, so time enough to evaluate it.
Senior Member sl Posted June 17, 2014 Senior Member Share Posted June 17, 2014 Hi Daspiv I take only this supplement. My age (mid 40s) and the loss I had means that I am comfortable taking only supplements now but for younger and guys with loss to come then medication per se could be the way ahead. I saw some signs of new hairs in a few months under transplanted hair line and had the same on Saw Palmetto in my early days on that. I am probably a fast responder and do respond well to herbs. A baldybee the powder is nettle "root" powder and inexpensive also and a bag 2kg will last a long time. I represent Dr. Bisanga.
