Great news! Emre will do you proud (see my profile write up, I'm now 7 months post op..!).

Keep us all informed & glad this New Year is going to be a special one for you! :)

Kindest Regards - Campbell.

I certainly hope so. I've been suffering for year with genetic pattern baldness and been prone to some dermatitis but really want this to work out.

Hi

I am just wondering if anybody has feedback when choosing between Dr Resat and Trichologist Dr Siphai. I am under the impression that each would lead a team of technicians, and are used only in a supervisory role. Is there much difference then when comparing skill levels and end result ?

Thanks

Guys I will open a new thread about my experience but I should warn you off Longevita!

I got a quote from Mcan Health in Turkey but I chose Longevita because it was an older company but I regret my decision so much now.

Recently I had hair transplant in Izmir by Longevita and the person who they claimed to be the best in the field turned out to be the worst. Ferdag Akova is not a doctor and she really sucks at what she does. Not only mine but also my friend's head have been ruined. I showed the result of my hair transplant to a doctor in London and he said it is the worst operation he has ever seen. Please DON'T ever choose Longevita for your hair transplant.

The doctors I were familiar with are all based in Istanbul. Iam only post 10 weeks but I wrote a blog of my experience which you can see on my profile. Ultimately, the proof is in the result. However as far as a budget operator I was reasonably pleased. Besides the no frills approach, My doctor or trichologist did most the work himself which I was pleased with. That is Kazim Sipahi

Wow just saw the post. I actually just had mine done yesterday by Ferdag. Still in the hospital in izmir and flying back tomorrow. In regards to results it's very early to tell as I am still bandaged up. It definitely is a no frill experience. To be honest I'm not quite sure what to make of the above comment, kinda sucks reading it since I've just had it done by the same person. I was told I had 2480 grafts done. I may have made a mistake by looking online and comparing. But I do see some people who had the same amount done and it looks denser. I spoke with my rep this morning and she said my grafts were very good and they expect good results. I really do hope that it all goes well, as I've read on this forum if there are complications or issues they will look to rectify.

Not sure how to upload images on here. But angry guy any chance you have images of what you have and also why they said it was so bad. I can try and upload images on my side once I arrive back to the uk.

Dear angryguy,

We are very sorry to hear that you had less than satisfactory experience in Turkey.

We'd be willing to help you if you could please contact us directly by emailing info at longevita dot co dot uk and send your latest pictures.

The doctors in the UK are motivated to criticize the work of others abroad because they are losing patients to overseas providers, so I would not rely on just their comments to asses the results of your surgery.

We follow up every patient after 1-3-6 and 12 months post surgery and make sure they are happy with the results or take remedial actions.

Regards,

Longevita Patient Services

I wont be contacting you not to disclose my real identity because another person posted that you ask for money if someone criticize your company. in your terms and conditions, you even specify this although it is not legal. see 2.6: Terms & Conditions | Longevita Medical History Form

Wow...Just read that. That is unbelievable. In their marketing jargon - "Hair transplant in Turkey by Longevita’s hair restoration specialists ", "Longevita hair transplant surgeons in Turkey are very experienced and talented in hair loss treatment"...then in T&Cs ...surgeons have nothing to do with us, and if you dare speak ill of us for a bad outcome we will take 5,000 compensation.

Was actually looking at going through them for the HT. Definitely not any more!

if you click on my profile I have written about my experience, surgery wise everything went well no complications everything healed remarkably quickly, of course the anaesthetic needles hurt a bit

but apart from that no problem my neck was hurting a little by the end of the op but then again more than manageable

Hi maybe a bit late. I've had my transplant done by longevita and the same individual that angry guy went to. To be honest I'm not very happy as of yet. I have been j. Touch with longevita via what's app. I hope they can rectify the situation. When j had my op it was a strange experience, the theatre had a huge leak and the rain was pouring in which was a strange experience. The staff were friendly, when they forgot to bring the breakfast I contacted my "keeper" and she got it arranged ASAP. But in regards to results to be honest I'm not fully convinced. Real shame so far, you invest money and time for something that is life changing, when you don't see the results you expect then it is frustrating and sad. Hopefully longevita will sort this out, will keep you all updated.

I just saw this thread again now and I am very sorry for those who had a bad experience. I had my HT almost 2 and a half years ago with Dr. Erdogan in Turkey and couldn't be happier. Do your research and look for people who had a HT with the doctor you are considering. Good luck, guys!

An amazing experience (4002 grafts) with Dr. Koray Erdogan (ASMED Clinic).
