Do Grafts Grow Before Shedding?

Hi guys,

I've just had an HT by FUE with Dr Lorenzo in Manchester.

 

I'm post op 5 days and am wondering if the grafts that have been implanted actually grow before they inevitably shed? My native hair is now growing albeit a bit of shock loss behind the recipient site

 

Also, my recipient area along my hairline is incredibly itchy and its driving me mad. Is this normal so early after an HT? I know I daren't scratch so keep spraying the area with saline

Itching is common, definitely dont scratch, you're doing the right thing with the spray.

yeah, I had some of the hairs start growing immediately and haven't stopped or shed. You can tell in my albums if you wanted see those. Im not sure if they will eventually fall out but it has been two months

I think most people retain and grow some of the original transplanted grafts through the shedding phase. Itchiness is normal. Get ready for all sorts of funny sensations in your scalp in the coming weeks.
