Using (Generic Minoxidil 5% for Men ) post hair transplantation Surgery risks !

I have done hair transplantation on 23 December 2013.The surgery successfully transplanted 6350 hairs.

 

As per the Post-Operative Instructions, The surgeon prescribed to use (Generic Minoxidil 5% for Men) for six months post surgery.

 

I have started using (Generic Minoxidil 5% for Men ) 11 days post surgery.

I have seen dandruff from day 1 after using the prescribed Minoxidil and that worried me after reading various articles about using the Minoxidil.

The question is : Does Minoxidil usage have any side effects for the surgery in general or effect the hair growth??

There are a lot of men who have had successful results without the use of Minoxidil. Not everyone uses it post-surgery. My doctor recommends using it 7 days post-op. I waited 9 days, used it for 10 and didn't like how it made my scalp feel so I stopped. I also started shedding in my mid-scalp and crown area which wasn't heartening after having a procedure to 'gain' hair. I may try it again at some point - maybe 3 to 6 months.

I would wait at least two weeks (I waited a month). The incisions need to heal first.
