Are you clipping the recipient area? Transplanted hair will always look fuller when 2-3 inches long, dry, separated, and styled to layer like shingles on a roof. It will look thinner when cut short, spiked up, parted through, wet or clumped with product.

Just clipped it. This was taken last week, a little longer.

I thought I should document my post op consultation with Dr Bisanga and UK representative Sl.

Both were very happy with my progress. I asked the Dr to assess my donor and I’m averaging 70 follicular units per cm2 on the sides and 80-90 at the back.

I therefore have the opportunity for a 2nd op which I will consider with the Dr and Sl next summer.

It’s very difficult to articulate how happy I am with the results but this has been one of the best decisions I have made and I’m 99.9% sure I will have a 2nd op as the results to date have been excellent IMO.

I would like to thank Dr Bisanga, all of the technicians and Sl for everything. I feel privileged to have met such a good team.

I will provide an update of my progress with photos this week.

That's what it's all about, my man! It's only going to get better. I'm at 6.5 months and I'm surprised at how it keeps improving.

SL - could you please comment on the placement of the hairline? I'm just curious to know the thinking behind densely packing the first centimeter or so of hairline, while leaving areas of lower density behind, creating a "wall" effect. It seems to me for a buzz cut, this wouldn't work well, and may be better to create a stronger forelock instead...
