Can a donor scar stretch when the stitches are still in?

I'm just curious if you have to be as careful with what you do with the stitches still in as you do in the weeks after they first come out. Do the stitches prevent any stretching when they're still in place?

You must be exceptionally careful in the first stage. There is no s at to stretch because the hard white scar tissue is still forming in the seam, but the holes for the sutures or staples can be opened wider and you can get scarring, the classic train-track scarring that characterizes classic strip scars.
