Senior Member ALEXD Posted December 9, 2013 Senior Member Share Posted December 9, 2013 Hello Everybody, The objective in this patient case at Norwood scale 5 was to harvest safely as many grafts as possible from the scalp and then maximize the final number of grafts with beard hair follicles. The goal was to define the hairline and strengthen the frontal third and crown. Finally 4538 grafts were extracted as follows: Scalp - Beard 1st day , 1856 - 0 2nd Day , 878 - 530 3rd day , 833 - 432 Total , 3576 - 962 = 4538 Grafts The progress photos are on the 6th month mark. Senior Member cueball35 Posted December 21, 2013 Senior Member Share Posted December 21, 2013 how many grafts were placed in the crown? as a norwood 5 its unusual to see the section of the midscalp left untouched and work done on the front and the crown. was there any particular reason for this strategy? 4510 FUSS Dr Feriduni December 2012 2350 FUSS Dr Feriduni December 2013 HT 1:Total Grafts 4510: Singles 715, Doubles 2123, Triples 1369, Quads 303 ( 10,280 Hairs ) HT 2:Total Grafts 2352: Singles 350, Doubles 1601, Triples 401, ( 4,755 Hairs )
Senior Member KO Posted December 23, 2013 Senior Member Share Posted December 23, 2013 I think it's because the sides were very high, so he could front load grafts. Just IMO. EDIT: Similar to your case, after looking at your photos!. 3382 FUE Lupanzula http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/185463-3382-grafts-lupanzula.html

EDIT: Similar to your case, after looking at your photos!. My loss was similar to this guy but i needed a second op to concentrate solely on the crown, i find it unusual that the front third was transplanted, then a bit missed and then they went back to hit the crown. 4510 FUSS Dr Feriduni December 2012 2350 FUSS Dr Feriduni December 2013 HT 1:Total Grafts 4510: Singles 715, Doubles 2123, Triples 1369, Quads 303 ( 10,280 Hairs ) HT 2:Total Grafts 2352: Singles 350, Doubles 1601, Triples 401, ( 4,755 Hairs )
