Thanks very much hadenough I thought the consistent photos month by month was an interesting way to view the improvements I just need to do an update now.

Janna- To be fair I only had one pass and was not around for a 6 week touch up.

From our experience with SMP, the touch up sessions (6 wks to 12 wks from initial treatment) helps a lot.

Our SMP specialist, Nicole, will be in Milan visiting Milena for a refresher course in mid-December, perhaps she can apply the touch up on you. Email me if you're interested.

The photos look great. Excellent progress.

I put a call a couple of weeks ago to Dr. Wong's office and was informed they no longer do SMP because of inconsistency in results from the pigmentation. You, though, seemed to have had a good result from it.

Are you concerned as you age and your hair greys that you'll have a pigmentation there not matching the rest of your scalp?

I'm in your boat right now with a few dozen stray greys.

I've also seen some great use of SMP to hide scars (mine are somewhat visible when I cut to closely and I like my hair very short like yours). You feel the SMP helped that?

OMG ... 5 HT Surgeries to reach this , Hats off to you garageland .... you look awesome and I am glad that it looks stunningly Natural and your hairline makes to look quiet young ,

But really 5 FUT's ... its just too much for me to handle just 1 FUT , leave alone 5 ..... maybe thats why all the seniors say that in 1 HT .... you will never get the Look that you wish ! so you need top ups every year till you reach ur goal !!

StephenH99- I had the temporary pigmentation and that is correct we stopped offering this to new patients some time ago. In my scalp and situation it worked well as a filler a bit like a more subtle version of Nanogen/Toppik would that you don't need to wash out every day. My own personal experience was it faded by 6 months maybe due to me washing my hair most days and sweating when playing sports. I did however have only one pass and no touch ups.

It left my scalp sometime ago and I don't have any intentions at this stage of redoing it. It worked very well for the first 3-4 months though. In my scars the results were less effective and dropped out quite quickly and seemed to smudge. If you are considering this into your scars have a test patch and see how it looks after 1-2 months. It did help me achieve a shorter cut for sure and now it has dropped out I am having to wear my hair longer.

Thanks Wevvo and Patriot I am going to be updating my case soon.

Mikeey- I appreciate it is a lot of surgeries but what you have to understand that 3 of these procedures were carried out in 1996-8. I had somewhere between 1000-1500 mini and micro grafts back then over 3 sessions. I am confident that what I have achieved with 5 surgeries could have been done with two sessions with Dr Hasson if I was a virgin scalp and had a gone to see him from the off.

If you are a Norwood 5 and 6 in your twenties or thirties and undergo a transplant without medication like I did back in the day you can absolutely expect further procedures to catch up with your loss. This applies to most patients regardless of their level of loss. Appropriate planning, hairline design and an expectancy of whilst full coverage might be possible over two sessions the crown is never going to be full or dense. Most 5's and 6's need to be content with a thinner look to their crown.

This latest session has made a big improvement to the frontal area density and has given me a few more options when it comes to styling. I have received very positive feedback from friends, former colleagues and clients that I have seen me in the last year.

Just over 10 years ago I left my job so I could work from home and hide away from having to meet new people all the time. I used to get those eyes moving up to my hairline with a puzzled look. I couldn't bear it anymore and lost all my self confidence.

I now meet complete strangers face to face for consultations and they are all looking at my hair so there has been a huge turn around in how I feel and look.

@David,

Thanks for the response. I didn't realize the pigmentation would wear off that quickly. I'm also concerned about grey hairs popping up and the tinting not matching in about ten years. I used Dr. Keane in Arizona and my results are comparable to yours. I wish I had more density as I have dark hair and my wife prefers it short, but there's only so much coverage you can get.

You achieved an excellent result though. Congrats on the progress and the accurate photography.

Thanks very much for your comments and I hope you achieve your goals. My result has been a long time in the making. I just got my haircut today a bit shorter at the sides and back and will post some updated pics soon.

All the best to you.

Hi Loki,

Thanks for the comment and sorry for missing it until now. I had the temporary SMP and for me it lasted around 6 months, I did not however have a second pass or any touch ups. It looked really good for the first 4 months into my crown but dropped out of my old scar very quickly.
