Regular Member sheraz104 Posted December 1, 2013 Regular Member Share Posted December 1, 2013 I just read a post on some forum where a woman stopped her hair loss after taking vitamin D. Would vitamin D help men too?
Senior Member cloudy Posted December 1, 2013 Senior Member Share Posted December 1, 2013 Better go to the sun exposure to at least 10 minutes daily and you'll get more vitamin D than taking crappy pills if you want more vitamin D
AbrahemSmit
I think Vitamin D didn't help me, but then again, my hair loss was Accutane-induced. It all depends on the cause of the hair loss. If it's from stress, illness, Medical problems and lack of sleep.
Senior Member rev333 Posted December 25, 2013 Senior Member Share Posted December 25, 2013 sometimes the body can't convert usable Vitamin D from the sun so you need to supplement
Senior Member Since21 Posted December 25, 2013 Senior Member Share Posted December 25, 2013 Also, more people are wearing sunscreen these days which impedes Vitamin D absorption. When I moved to NY I noticed I began feeling down and couldn't figure out why. Went to see a doctor who did blood work and found out I had extremely low Vitamin D levels. She put me on a weekly regiment of 50000 IU for 8 weeks and I could tell after taking the dose I felt generally better mood-wise. Of course I had hoped it would also help my thinning hair, but I didn't really notice a difference. It's probably one of the better supplements you could take since it has so many health benefits. 3,425 FUT grafts with Dr Raymond Konior - Nov 2013 1,600 FUE grafts with Dr Raymond Konior - Dec 2018
