Regular Member Dav7 Posted November 21, 2013 Regular Member Share Posted November 21, 2013 I am just wondering if somebody could give a rough estimate as to how many grafts I may need in order to achieve a full look after a transplant? I reckon, that I am a Norwood 3-4, so I was thinking 3000-4000 grafts perhaps?
Senior Member Spanker Posted November 21, 2013 Senior Member Share Posted November 21, 2013 A lot of times you will need more than one pass, but I would call you a NW4V and you would want to start with about 4k IMO if you can. Senior Member Shampoo Posted November 21, 2013 Senior Member Share Posted November 21, 2013 a rough estimate as to how many grafts I may need in order to achieve a full look after a transplant? Yep I would think 4000 would make a nice difference. Depending on your goals you could end up like Spanker says needing an additional surgery to really get the final result, but 4000 would get you well on your way. How old are you and are you on meds? Senior Member Dr. James DeYarman Posted November 21, 2013 Senior Member Share Posted November 21, 2013 You appear young. I would do a FUE and keep the number as low as possible. The crown can give you concern on graft distribution but can be done.
Regular Member Dav7 Posted November 22, 2013 Author Regular Member Share Posted November 22, 2013 Thank you for your replies. I was wondering if it would be possible to tell how many grafts I would have overall, and whether it would be a low, average or high account - or would that be impossible to do online? Senior Member Jotronic Posted November 23, 2013 Senior Member Share Posted November 23, 2013 We can't tell from the photos you shared how many grafts you have. We need to see donor photos showing the hair lifted so we can see the density. You are a NW4 but because you have fine hair and a high contrast between scalp color and hair color you could use closer to 5000 grafts.
