Regular Member JB1127 Posted October 18, 2013 Regular Member Share Posted October 18, 2013 (edited) Hello, I am 2 months post op and I still see small hairs in the recipient area that haven't shed from the transplant. I read that in another post that it was ok to pull these hairs out but I would just like some reassurance. Does gently pulling the hairs out effect the grafts? Is it uncommon for transplanted hair to stay this long? Will if effect new hair growth? Will the new hair push out the old transplanted hair? If anyone could give me advice it would be a lot of help. Thanks! Edited October 18, 2013 by JB1127 Sorry for the title error.. Months*
Regular Member BoomerSooner Posted October 18, 2013 Regular Member Share Posted October 18, 2013 Leave it alone if you can. Just let your body do what it needs to do. It will heal what it needs to heal and shed what it needs to shed. If I remember correctly, I didn't really shed good until 3+ months My hair loss blog http://www.hairtransplantnetwork.com/blog/home-page.asp?WebID=2631

Senior Member Blake Bloxham Posted October 21, 2013 Senior Member Share Posted October 21, 2013 JB, Technically, the grafts should be fully anchored and you could pluck it. However, still having non-shed grafts at 2 months post-op really isn't abnormal.
