Senior Member TakingThePlunge Posted October 17, 2013 Senior Member Share Posted October 17, 2013 Birdness, initial hair growth after hair transplant surgery is typically finer in caliber, lighter in color and sometimes, kinky or twisty in appearance. Over time, the hairs will become darker, more robust and begin to take on the appearance of your natural hair. Hope this answers your question.
