Regular Member Dr. William Lindsey Posted October 1, 2013 Regular Member Share Posted October 1, 2013 This fellow complained about a pluggy hairline, crown and lack of density. Fortunately he really has the perfect hair. Its salt and pepper, matches his skin, is curly and wirey, and dense. Hard to mess that perfect storm up. Thus, he looked pretty good on arrival and we discussed the option of not doing anything. I tried to show how we make our slits right up to the previous grafts along the hairline. Every attempt is made to avoid hitting the roots that "are already paid for", and yet pack the hairline. We put roughly 1000 in the hairline and 800 in the crown, also around a previously pluggy area. He chose to have a small case done to pack his frontal triangles hairline and add density to his crown. He looks great and is not fully grown in. I think he’s about 8 months out and is moving out of the area so I’m not sure if I’ll get 12 month pictures to post. Shown are the day of surgery, 1 week, and 8 month pictures. Dr. Lindsey McLean VA William H. Regular Member Dr. William Lindsey Posted October 8, 2013 Author Regular Member Share Posted October 8, 2013 Thanks for the nice comments. I must however give a good bit of the credit to his good hair texture, skin color, and overall healing properties. In a different individual with dark hair, really white skin, and flimsy thin donor hairs...this would have been a much more modest improvement, even in the best of hands. I just posted a white skinned, dark haired, awful plug case that we repaired last week. Fortunately he has thick wirey hair...but still his result will not equal this patient's simply because of color mismatching. But I'll take the complements. Thanks Dr. Lindsey McLean VA William H.
