These are 2900 grafts in 2 sessions after 1 week, 2 weeks, 45 days(shock loss), and 18 months results from a 33 years old patients.

 

For this operation, Choi Hair Transplanter / implanter Pen technique was used. With this technique, we use small pen needles which has 6-7-8mm diameters for planting grafts into recipient sites. After the surgery, patient's recovery is faster and the result is natural.

 

To extract the grafts from the donor area, we use small blade called micro-motor, it has 0.7-0.8 mm diameter and does not harm donor hairs' roots.

Cant believe that 2900 grafts could give such coverage. I did 2500 grafts with Rahal via FUT which most say its the highest in yield and didnt get half of his result, although my hairline was much better than this patient who has slick bald empty areas to be restored! You can see my pre op photo attached.

 

Bottom line is FUE proves it could have as good yield as FUT if done by the right FUE surgeon. Choi Implanter is becoming a great tool especially in the hands of Dr. Lorenzo and Dr. Hakan :-)

Looks excellent, I think the shape of his head and the fact he has great hair helped a lot...

Has the topic of head shape ever came up? I have a horrible shape head for being bald, Kinda pointy and narrow....But a good shape head for a HT...If my head looked a little good bald I wouldn't have got a HT....Luckily my crappie shaped head is a good HT candidate.

@Amante! Thanks for your questions. We use Choi Implanter Pen Technique. You can check the video below to see how this tech. works in an experienced doctor's hands;

 

 

 

Here is the advantages of this tech:

 

-No risk of visible scars even if you have short hair

-Donor area (where hairs were removed) looks unchanged

-More hairs per graft

-Natural hairlines

-Extremely quick recovery after treatment (days instead of months)

-No deep wounds, nerve bundles remain intact

-No severe swellings after the treatment

-No need to use a scalpel

-No need for stitches

-No severe pain during or after the treatment

-Local anesthesia (like a dentist treatment)

-The patients can drive home by themselves after the treatment

Usually, in the 20th day shock loss starts and lasts till 45th day. After 3th or 4th month, the loss

grafts start to re-grow. This shock loss pictures are just examples from 45th day. They don't mean that shock loss starts at 45th day.
