This 48- year- old female patient with PCOS first came to us seeking a hair transplant to improve overall thinning, primarily concentrated on the top of her head. The patient underwent a total of two sessions with 4,000 grafts placed. The patient’s hair was very fine and consisted of 49% single hair grafts, 40% two hair grafts, and 11% grafts comprised of three hairs. Using the stick and place method, single hair grafts were used to reinforce the hairline, followed by two and three hair grafts to create a more dense appearance centrally. Single hair grafts were doubled and scattered throughout to improve the overall density. The patient has been able to style her hair in ways she was not able to prior to hair restoration, and is thrilled with her results.
