Senior Member Dr. Hakan DOGANAY Posted July 12, 2013 Senior Member Share Posted July 12, 2013 (edited) These are 3900 grafts, before and after 6 months and 1 year results. For this operation, Choi Hair Transplanter / implanter Pen technique was used. With this technique, I use small pen needles which has 6-7-8mm diameters for planting grafts into recipient sites. After the surgery, patient's recovery is faster and the result is natural. To extract the grafts from the donor area, we use small blade called micro-motor, it has 0.7-0.8 mm diameter and does not harm donor hairs' roots. you can check more results and an interview: http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/171075-i-had-hair-transplant-doctor-hakan-doganay.html http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/171232-4000-grafts-dr-hakan-doganay.html http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/171105-2100-grafts-dr-hakan-doganay.html http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/168105-3900-grafts.html http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/168180-2400-grafts.html http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/169919-3100-grafts-dr-hakan-doganay.html http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/170630-2400-grafts-patients-update-photos.html http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/170808-interview-dr-hakan-doganay-ahd-clinic.html Thanks Our world class results are approved by hairrestorationnetwork Dr. Hakan Doganay*Hair Transplant Surgeon in*Antalya,*Turkey and by IAHRS Find an IAHRS Accepted Hair Transplant Surgeon - Bald Truth Talk - Hair Loss, Hair Transplant and Hair Restoration Community FOR CONSULTATION: http://www.hairtransplantnetwork.com/share-info/virtualconsultation.asp?SiteRef=HTN&DrID=668 CONTACT: info@ahdclinic.com Edited September 17, 2013 by DrHakanDOGANAY

Senior Member KO Posted July 13, 2013 Senior Member Share Posted July 13, 2013 This is beautiful work Dr Hakan. Although as a friendly suggestion, I think a top down view from the front would be beneficial as well. Senior Member Dr. Hakan DOGANAY Posted August 2, 2013 Author Senior Member Share Posted August 2, 2013 Dear Fue123! Thanks for asking this question. We use kind of small pens for the operation. You can see these pens in the link and the video below. We answered a similar question under another topic and copied the link of the topic and our answer here. http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/168673-3530-850%3D4380-grafts-dr-hakan-doganay-3.html In Chao implanter technique, we use kind of small pens. By using these pens, the angels of the grafts can be changed easily. Therefore, a doctor can get results similar to the results of the lateral slit technique or sagittal slit technique depending on the doctor's experience. The most important thing in Choi Technique is experience of a doctor. One of the reason why we use Choi implanter Technique (Pen Tench.) is that implanting the grafts with appropriate angels is easy. And this is the one of the most important reason why we are getting very natural results even with small number of grafts. Please click the links below to see how our results are. Specially, we advise you to check our after 2 weeks pictures we posted to see the angel of the grafts. Thanks again for asking this question. Senior Member Fue123 Posted August 3, 2013 Senior Member Share Posted August 3, 2013 Dr. Hakan Thank you for taking the time to address my question. I have a few more, if you don't mind? In one of your videos I see you've define a 1 square cm area and are you the pen implanted to implant what appears to be 120 grafts per cm2. This appears to be an amazing feat. Many on here have questioned this as typically we see 50-60 g/cm2 implanted. Can you comment on this since many have donor density that is far less than that. On another note, I'd like you to answer if you could the difference between scalp tissue and the skin adjacent to it on ones forehead. I notice that if I buzz my hair the hair containing scalp tissue appears to be slightly raised in comparison to the skin on my forehead. Do we know what accounts for this phenomenon? I ask, because I noticed, that when I began to lose hair in my temples that this characteristic of the raised scalp tissue was also lost. The scalp area that became bald took on the appearance of the forehead skin. Additionally, in talking to those who have had HT and the hair has grown out they've stated that the hair appears to grow from 'normal skin' and not the previous 'scalp tissue' that native hair grows from. I know that scalp tissue has considerably more blood supply which is why head wounds bleed more and also connective tissue that allows for the mobility of the scalp but am unsure if this is what yields that characteristic I describe. Thanks in advance for your answers.

Senior Member Dr. Hakan DOGANAY Posted August 29, 2013 Author Senior Member Share Posted August 29, 2013 (edited) Dear FUE123! Thanks for your questions. In that video, we transplanted 120 grafts JUST in 1 cm2 to show that it is possible to transplant grafts even in small areas by using Choi Implanter Pen Tech. Other than this, the density of our operations is 50-60 grafts/cm2 as it can bee seen from our results we posted. Again, the goal of that video was just to show that Implanter Pens can be used even in small areas. Sorry about the confusion caused by the video. Since we are not sure about the answer of your second question, we can't answer it. Sorry about that. If you send some pictures showing the scalp before and after hairloss clearly, we can answer this question. You can send your pictures via http://www.drhakandoganay.com or info@ahdclinic.com Thanks again.
