Regular Member ninjathen Posted April 18, 2013 Regular Member Share Posted April 18, 2013 Been using Rogaine foam for what feels like around 15 yrs...it's so inexpensive when you buy online like 12 bucks a month... My question is after using it for so long does it lose it's effectiveness ? I have had 4 H Ts in the last 7 yrs and of course I have lost some of my non transplanted hair in that time...It's hard to tell wr I would have been if I never started the rogaine.. Senior Member TakingThePlunge Posted April 19, 2013 Senior Member Share Posted April 19, 2013 ninjathen, Just to clarify, Rogaine Foam only became available in 2006. I assume you began using the liquid version prior to that. It is fairly common for hair loss sufferers to experience a decline in minoxidil's effectiveness over time. However, I don't think anyone can say with certainly if that is due to the drug losing its effectiveness on the individual's balding scalp or if androgenic alopecia simply intensifies and wins out in the long run.
