My Year plus Update after repair surgery with Dr Feller

It is now past the 12 months since I had my 1900 grafts from Dr Feller in New York after two poor procedures in the Uk.

I thought I would bring to a conclusion my journey over the past 13-14 months.

I am extremely grateful that the major forums such as 'The Hair Transplant Network' actually exist.

It has enabled me to gain a much broader, deeper understanding of this notorious industry and now I feel I have at least some control over my destiny as I get older that I don't believe I would have had had I not found them. I could have quite easily took the route to self-destuction by destroying my finite donor supply, wasting tens of thousands of pounds, and ultimately making myself deeply unhappy.

It has made me fully aware of what is possible, the limitations and of the great surgeons that lie around the world, and empowered me to make a decision that I can honestly say I am proud of.

I have been on finasteride for around 6 years now, and hopefully it continues to work for a long period of time as I get older.

I am just a regular normal guy wanting to keep his hair in my younger years, and the surgery has helped restore my self-esteem,confidence and happiness to optimum levels.

This battle is won, but the war is not over, and maybe in 5-15 years I will be sat in the chair once again smile.gif

Awesome!

It never fails to amaze me how great that circular hair line turns out to be. At first it looks pretty receded but then when grown out it looks perfect........I try to remember this when I'm looking at those bare temples in the mirror as I wait for it all to grow in.

Great result, thanks for sharing.

2,000 grafts FUT Dr. Feller, July 27th 2012. 23 years old at the time. Excellent result. Need crown sorted eventually but concealer works well for now.

Propecia and minoxidil since 2010. Fine for 8 years - bad sides after switching to Aindeem in 2018.

Switched to topical fin/minox combo from Minoxidil Max in October 2020, along with dermarolling 1x a week.

Wrote a book for newbies called Beating Hair Loss, available on Amazon

Thanks Hairthere. Any updates on your progress?

I always have my hair like in the last picture, and I think that picture is on my Plenty of Fish profile. :)

I only make my hair wet or damp to comb it back so it is easier to reveal the work that was done but never style my hair like that.

Thanks Makem32.

I had a small FUE and a Small strip before in the Uk that were ****.

Then I had the old strip scar removed within the new strip when it was taken.

Had my hair cut today shorter than I would have had in the past pre transplant and now it is much easier to do my hair in the frontal areas as I like to have it up at the front.

It's crazy how much hair makes a difference on ones appearance. Nothing weird meant by this, but it's clear you're an attractive man. The HT has made it even more apparent so, and must have boosted your confidence. Really amazing job done here, and hope when I'm old enough to be viable for an HT candidate that my hair hasn't gotten much worse, and I'm able to get similar results.

Congrats on such great natural looking results. Now go have the girls flocking to you! :P

Just stumbled across this post. Fantastic results. Now it's gotten me all giddy waiting for mine to grow in like that.... 3 months and counting!
