Great video Bill.

2 poor unsatisfactory hair transplants performed in the UK.

Based on vast research and meeting patients, I travelled to see Dr Feller in New York to get repaired.

Northwest-Hairline,

Thanks for your input. However, I think the topic seems pretty clear that it's not a warning about Dr. Rassman. However, we're certainly willing to take suggestions on a more suitable title.

Thanks,

Bill

Hey Bill....I thought I would mention it because I expected to be reading a negative report about a physician. I'm certainly not the writing police, but would suggest this or similar: - Dr. Rassman Offers Tips to Patients Before Undergoing Hair Transplantation

Northwest-Hairline,

I appreciate your input. The "Buyer Beware" was designed 1) to be an attention getter and 2) because Dr. Rassman discusses why the hair restoration industry is a buyer beware business.

I do hope others aren't confused by this. If so, I'll think of a new topic :-).

Bill

Must admit I did read it as though it was going to be a negative thread on Dr. Rassman too!

Great video though,

Travelled to New York from the UK for 2000 grafts in the hairline/front third region with Dr. Feller, July 27th 2012. Very happy with my results.

I don't think it's pretty clear, you can just as easily read it both ways. If it WAS going to be a negative thread, the title would/could have been worded exactly the same.

"Buyer Beware! Tips to Patients Before Undergoing Hair Transplantation" - video by Dr. Rassman

^ That would be pretty clear. The original is open to interpretation. Not that I want to be pedantic...just explaining why I took it the wrong way too

Tommy,

The only difference in your proposed title that you said would be very clear is that you added the word video. Everything else is worded the same way and in my opinion, the addition of one word doesn't make it any clearer.

Unfortunately, the topic title is limited and I've already maximized the use of characters.

But, ok, enough about the title. What does everyone think about the video itself? Any comments?

Seemed like common sense, although I was disappointed when he said pictures are not enough to validate a surgeon since that's a major advantage of this forum. While seeing patients in person would be ideal, I'm not sure how practical that is.

I did like his advice about salesmen as I have had that experience recently (long-distance consultation). I was primarily dealing with a sales guy who downplayed all of my concerns about his practice but tried to scare me from consulting others ("why is it so cheap?", "why do they have so much time on their hands?"). The surgeon chimed in briefly and seemed indifferent as to what type of procedure I have done. Salesmen and surgery don't mix.

I was just explaining my point to the person who said it was pretty clear. I wanted to convey to that poster why it wasn't clear to me, that's all!

Anyway, yeah back to the video...

I agree with the guys who thought it was warning against the doctor. He's also co-authored a book on the order of "hair transplants for dummies" or something that is pretty good. I just had a patient bring me a copy a few weeks ago and I thought it was well done.

I think if the title is at all confusing, it should just get changed. How hard is it to change it?

You have couple of different suggestions. Adding the word "video" in front of "by Dr. Rassman" does help, imo. One word can make a world of difference.

Hi Bill,

Title is indeed confusing. No question about it. Not a big deal to change it I imagine?
