Raphael84
Hairline looks great. Very natural and soft! Were any grafts planted into the mid forelock area? I'm presuming not but its not quite clear. Hopefully the patient will not lose any hair in that central area. How old was the patient? Regular Member hairhunter Posted September 23, 2012 Regular Member Share Posted September 23, 2012 Hi Dr. Hakan, I have seen alot of your results posted to a Turkish Forum which are very impressive. I would like to know more about you techniques. Could you answer the following questions: Do you use a micro-motor for extraction or are all grafts removed manually? What size needles are used for extraction? How many grafts do you extract in a day? I know you use the choi-implanter pen for incisions so not many questions on this area of the procedure. (This method of implantation is not very popular among forum readers) Do you keep grafts in natural follicle groupings or do you have to breakdown 3's and 4's to fit in the implanter pen? All information on your techniques and procedures would be appreciated. Regards HH

Senior Member HARIRI Posted November 7, 2012 Senior Member Share Posted November 7, 2012 Dr. Hakan Dogonay is using the same tool of Dr.Lorenzo... Im impressed with Turkey as it seems that they have great FUE there. So far I'm impressed with Dr. Keser, Dr. Eser and Dr. Hakan. Hope I can see some of then being recommended there as its the closest to Middle East especially after Dr. Melike was removed from the recommendation result because of the non satisfying results. Senior Member Dr. Hakan DOGANAY Posted November 10, 2012 Author Senior Member Share Posted November 10, 2012 Hi All, Concerning some of your questions, to extract the grafts from the donor area, we use small blade called micro-motor, it has 0.7-0.8 mm diameter and does not harm donor hairs' roots. To load the gradts, we use kind of pens and they have 6-7-8 mm diameters. Best
toto75
Thanks Doc I am very interessted by your work , may be I will be in your hands soon Just to make sure I would like to know if traces remain in the donor area after your interventions FUE (dot white) ? Senior Member PupDaddy Posted November 21, 2012 Senior Member Share Posted November 21, 2012 Dr. Hakan Dogonay is using the same tool of Dr.Lorenzo... Im impressed with Turkey as it seems that they have great FUE there. You're right, Hariri. Turkey seems to be a hot-bed for exceptional FUE work these days. One clarification, though: While Dr. Doganay uses the same tool to make the recipient incisions and implant the grafts that Dr. Lorenzo uses (a Choi Implanter Pen), Dr. Doganay uses a motorized punch (a micro-motor) to excise the grafts in the donor whereas Dr. Lorenzo uses manual punches. Both docs appear to be getting excellent FUE yield and cosmetic results.
Senior Member Dr. Hakan DOGANAY Posted December 30, 2012 Author Senior Member Share Posted December 30, 2012 The maximum number of grafts we can do in one day depend on the patient. But normally 1500-2000 grafts. To extract the grafts from the donor area, we use small blade called micro-motor, it has 0.7-0.8 mm diameter and does not harm donor hairs' roots. It is enough for extraction. After extraction, 3 nurses clean and save the grafts in sterilized cells. We keep these cells in a refregerator during the operation. The nurses put the grafts into needles and Dr.Hakan DOGANAY plants the graft with the help of needles. Best

Bill - Seemiller
Dr. Doganay, I know that people keep referring to the above photos as "results". However, when I look at the dates of each picture, the after photos appear to be only 2 or so weeks after surgery. Am I missing something? Do you have any results to show now that this patient's results should have matured? Thanks, Bill

Senior Member Dr. Hakan DOGANAY Posted January 12, 2013 Author Senior Member Share Posted January 12, 2013 Thnaks for your comment. @Bill! We posted these pictures just to show how the ''after 2 weeks' results'' look like. We posted several other pictures to show after 6 months and 1 year results. Here is one of them http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/168673-3530-850%3D4380-grafts-dr-hakan-doganay.html'>http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/168673-3530-850%3D4380-grafts-dr-hakan-doganay.html'>http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/168673-3530-850%3D4380-grafts-dr-hakan-doganay.html'>http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/168673-3530-850%3D4380-grafts-dr-hakan-doganay.html But you are right, people can misunderstand these pictures as ''results''. We should have mentioned about this. I will explain this in the explanation part. @Spanker!
