Excellent work.

Not a lot of grafts used for the crown as well.

2 poor unsatisfactory hair transplants performed in the UK.

Based on vast research and meeting patients, I travelled to see Dr Feller in New York to get repaired.

I thought crown is a blackhole for grafts. But with Rahal talent, this lucky patient restored his crown with only 2000+ grafts. Well Done :-)

While we're at it with all the questions, I have one too :D

Propecia before or after surgery? Great hair!

The crown doesn't necessarily have to be a black hole. It depends on the type of loss the patient has and how much donor he has to dedicate to it. If a patient has no loss anywhere else, then he has the luxury of having enough donor for the crown to have good density.

Matt - I know this is an older case but what was the total area covered in this case? It looks to be about 50 sq cm? Is that about right?

It appears to me that this patient really got a lot coverage for 2111 grafts.

If no graft amount had been stated I would have assumed like 2500-3000 to get that kind of look of density.

Shampoo. IMO, he had more native hair in the crown than the pics really show which I think gave it that extra density. If it was 50 sq cm, that's about 43 grafts per sq cm which would be decent density for a crown restoration if it started with no hair but I agree, not quite the density seen in this final result.

More info from Matt on this one would be helpful.

Ok Can't decide I see what you mean. Still this patient's before/after kind of pumps me up, in that my crown still needs a bit more work, and I just assumed I might need about 3000 grafts, but I have more hair in my crown than this patient did, so maybe I can get away with 2000-2500 and use the extra grafts to add more density elsewhere.

I have nothing personal against Matt, but don't hold your breath for the technical details on the work. I asked him how many Sw. CMs covered back in September on this thread and nothin'

Could you please let me know the following:
1. what was the coverage area in cm square?
2. average density transplanted in this case?
