Regular Member logansays Posted September 4, 2012 Regular Member Share Posted September 4, 2012 hi Want to share my HT experience with Dr. Madhu. had my transplant on the 22nd of August. I have been loosing hair for the last 14 years. finally decided would go for a transplant and on this forums recommendation , decided to go with Dr. Madhu. I had planned for 4000+ grafts, and had been doing Scalp exercise for the last two months.. however Dr. Madhu found the scalp not very lax, and could manage 2700 units. It was a good experience and im sharing some images here as well. will try my best to keep my progress posted and updated here for everyone.. its been 14 days now, and i have felt good looking at my self in the mirror. this is my first step and will surely go for another procedure in the future. Senior Member TakingThePlunge Posted September 5, 2012 Senior Member Share Posted September 5, 2012 logansays, Welcome and congratulations! Dr. Madhu's work looks very refined as expected. Sorry to hear that he was unable to harvest the number of grafts you had hoped for. This will give you a good start and certainly have a positive impact on your appearance. Best of luck and please return to keep us updated on your progress. David - Former Forum Co-Moderator and Editorial Assistant I am not a medical professional. Regular Member logansays Posted September 19, 2012 Author Regular Member Share Posted September 19, 2012 Hi Just wanted to Update.. Its been a roughly a month . I wear a cap to work and being in the design profession, thats not a worry..Infact im liking it..got a nice collections of caps, one for each day there is no pain, most of the transplanted hair have begun to shed ( which is sad, i was liking what i saw in the mirror every morning) and the donor area has healed well! nextsri
Logansays, congratulations. how big is the scar... is it of any concerns for you? did you opted out not to have your crown area done?
Regular Member logansays Posted September 28, 2012 Author Regular Member Share Posted September 28, 2012 @nextsri Thanks! the length is from ear to ear ( almost) ..if ur asking me abt the width..no its of no concern cos its healed very well, and I cant actually see the scar, my wife has to search for the scar, for it to be noticeable to her..so to answer ur question, its of absolutely no concern. Regarding getting the crown area done..I hoped for 4000 grafts..but the doc could only manage 2700..lucking there were lot of twos and three but rathr than having it spread all over with poor density, the doctor suggested and I agreed to have the front area done to frame my face..and ofcourse i still have enough donor and will surely tackle the crown in the future.. Regular Member JkR Posted September 28, 2012 Regular Member Share Posted September 28, 2012 Hi Logansays I'm planning a future transplant with Dr. Madhu. I would like to know I have a large area to cover and I wonder if they will do both the front and crown area in the first session. Is spreading the available grafts equally over the whole scalp (front, mid and crown) possible in one session with Dr. Madhu? Thanks Jim (JkR)
Regular Member logansays Posted September 28, 2012 Author Regular Member Share Posted September 28, 2012 HI Jim, Im sure given that if you have the required donor available, it would be possible for them. Im not really in any position to either guide or suggest anything! Lots of experienced and informed member here on this forum might be able to answer ur qestions effectively ! i do think they should have the capability to do such a procedure! however the area of coverage wud defenitely depend on ur donor hair. Meeting with a doctor personally would be the best way to go about it.

Senior Member augustya Posted November 28, 2013 Senior Member Share Posted November 28, 2013 Guys this Person now has the Final results so the results speak for themselves. But frankly speaking looking at the Pic Day 1 immediately after his HT, does it not look like a neatly done Hairline. I mean it looks perfectly done hairline as far the Micro Irregularity and the Zig-Zag approach the Textbook of Hair Transplant talks about in achieving a Natural Hairline. This is a classic example of a neatly done Job. Dont you guys think this should be kept as a example in front of whoever is going for a HT, This approach will give a natural result like in this case. Regular Member logansays Posted September 14, 2018 Author Regular Member Share Posted September 14, 2018 HI Guys, After a long time. I'm back to this Forum. I was pretty active before my transplant, looking for every bit of info I could find on the subject and most importantly, reviews on Dr Madhu since I was more or less decided to have it done in India, being from India. I had started losing my hair at the age of 18..slowly but surely..the most frustrating thing in my life and it managed to destroy my self image..I struggled with it forvever..and back home a bald/balding man is the butt of all jokes!!! references are always about ur balding head, n that included family/friends! I finally was able to get a HT in 2012..I wasn't sure what to expect..I was a Norwood 6. The procedure went well.i was looking forward for maximum grafts, Dr Madhu managed 2700..got a hairline..and I was quite happy as evident in my posts above..its also the first time I started wearing hats!! My wife thinks its the best investment I have done . So Post my transplant and a year after I have had hair growth: 1) I started wearing hats a lot more..I had a hairline and that made me look my age and not much much older. 2) I looked good in controlled environments, but the hair wasn't thick..with the few existing strands shedding slowly. 3) I dreaded going out when its windy or in sunlight..the hair would just blow and look horrible!!! 4) Hats everywhere, to church, workplace, social gatherings. I somehow got more conscious now ( wasn't prior to the HT) 5) Going for a real short buzz cut? wasn't a possibly now as I had a scar at the back. 6) Have receding hair at thence as well which I HATE!! NOW: 1) I am looking to hear others experiences, in the same spot as I am. 2) Conviced you need more procedures to achieve a great final result 3) I just want to be free enough to move out in the sun/ wind, without a crippling fear of the looking UGLY! So Guys, I have decided to go in for my second HT. Most Probably it would be with Dr Bhatti. I plan to add density to my hair line and cover the crown some. I would like to get The maximum grafts possible and it Would Be FUE for Sure.. I would appreciate whatever comments/ suggestion ideas I can get. how much can I achieve in terms of coverage? I will start a separate thread of my journey/ experience with Dr Bhatti. Will keep you all posted and updated. Im thankful and glad for this forum! Best regards Steven Lewis
