This patient had surgery at the beginning of March 2012 and has been kind enough to e mail a couple of pictures of his early stage progress.

He is in his mid 50's and had quite extensive hair loss.

Even at this early stage things are starting to change. He has told me he will do several additional shots and keep updating bi monthly.

This is the largest op I've seen you guys do it's great to see a uk clinic doing a op this size, I look forward to the end result, it will be interesting considering how bald he was pre op.

This is one of the largest sessions I've seen the Farjo's do. Their work is as clean as any.

Finasteride 1.25 mg. daily

Avodart 0.5 mg. daily

Spironolactone 50 mg twice daily

5 mg. oral Minoxidil twice daily

Biotin 1000 mcg daily

Multi Vitamin daily

Damn, with all the stuff you put in your hair are you like a negative NW1? :D

Mick

This was a big canvas and Dr. Farjo spread the paint wisely. Nice graded plan to balance density and coverage. He already looks much better and it has only been 5 months.

It's going to be a massive change for him in another 6 months but he's got a good start.

The end result looks OK I guess all things considered, but does anyone here really feel this guy was a good candidate for surgery? That's still some extremely sparse coverage, as anyone would expect in a patient with such a large, bald head.

I think anyone with good donor quality is a candidate provided you can provide a result which is meaningful to them and looks natural.

4,312 FUT grafts (7,676 hairs) with Ray Konior, MD - August 2013

1,145 FUE grafts (3,152 hairs) with Ray Konior, MD - August 2018

763 FUE grafts (2,094 hairs) with Ray Konior, MD - January 2020

Proscar 1.25mg every 3rd day

Mick, Respect! Not an easy canvas to start. But 5/6months in, the photos provided show a nice improvement!

Gandolf, why do you feel that this guy wasnt a good candidate? In mid 50s with such a progressed pattern, I would imagine Farjo decided that he wasnt going to progress further. As long as his donor was sufficient to meet his and the Drs pre discussed and agreed realistic results, then I see no problem. Good luck to all going forward!

And heres to 4,500 more!
