HT 25th June Dr Radha

Hi there

After much research on this website and others I decided to undergo HT with Dr Radha. I had emailed pictures to a few surgeons within SE Asia and all said I was progressing towards Norwood 5 and suggested I have 2500 to 3000 grafts.

As has already been stated by many others, Dr Radha is a wonderful and very professional person. She did not make unrealistic promises or claims and explained each step of the procedure clearly and answered all my questions and concerns.

I explained that I did not wish to look like I was 20 again but rather fill in the area I have left. She thought this to be a sensible idea and a better use of the grafts allowing for a thicker coverage.

I have nothing new to add to the experience of the procedure that has not already be said except to confirm that at all times I felt safe and well cared for. At no time did I experience any extra discomfort. I chose the local vegetarian lunch which was good, I stayed at Budhill Park hotel which is perfectly fine. Internet could be better there but everything else was absolutely fine. I have paid more to stay in worse.

Final transplant count as follows;

1 hair - 662

2 hair - 2140

3 hair - 420

I also bought Finasteride 1mg and have started taking them but will probably only take it every other day. See how that goes and then maybe increase the dosage.

So in conclusion; as has been stated many times before, Dr Radha is a truly wonderful surgeon and I would not hesitate to recommend her services to anyone.

I will try to update pictures weekly so that you can see how the procedure went.

(have just edited post, had wrong transplant count, now correct)

It is now 2 weeks post HT, will get wife to take pics and upload later today.

As yet none of the transplanted hair has shed. In fact it is growing longer. Is this usual? Will it grow a bit and then shed? I realise that everyones experience is slightly different, just thought that I would see signs of shedding by now.

Mind you, I'm not complaining.

I don't think I had shed a single hair at two weeks. I started shedding at around four weeks. I remember that I was kinda hoping I wouldn't shed at all at that point, but now I don't really care, 'cause I know it will all grow back in a few months. I'm currently just shy of 7 weeks.

Here are the pictures 2 weeks later.

Trying to get the lighting to match isn't so easy.

Scabs are gone and no shedding as yet. Blue nylon stitches removed at day 5. Now have the other stitches starting to fall out. Wife keeps cutting and removing pieces of stitches from back of my head. All seems to be going well.

Hi Ahmed9500

I am based in Singapore so cant meet up sorry. Obviously I am at 8 weeks and going through the doldrums phase. Lots of the grafts have shed though not all. It appears that some grafts have decided not to shed but to start and continue growing. Obviously need to wait until around month 10 I think before I can say definitively what the results are. However based on my limited experiences I would most certainly recommend Dr Radha.

have you got her email address? i am very close to booking with either her or dr.humayun of pakistan - really would like to see results of dr.r first though.

Her email address is available on her website Radha International Institute of Hair Transplant you can directly post a query from the website if you wish to. In fact you could just pick up the phone and call her and I am sure she would be happy to talk to you.

Updating with more pictures. I had a haircut on the weekend. Just shy of 4 months. Hair is growing as I can feel lots of little stubble under my normal hair. Still a long way to go but I am very pleased with the results so far.

Yes I am still taking the medication every second day. No side effects. I think it is working, might be too early to tell. I did not have any hair transplanted into the crown area so will be interesting to see what that area looks like after about 12 months of medication.

I was just checking in on this forum as I had been away from here for a while. I have noticed on other threads that people are doubting Dr Radha's expertise and there has been a lack of photographic evidence regarding her work.

So here are my latest photos. Some from the beach at about 6 months post op, I think, and 2 taken just now after my shower so my hair is wet and clumped together.

Thanks James84. The photos at the beach are 6 months. The last 2 were just taken about 30 minutes ago after my shower and are at 7 months. Hair is wet and clumped together so in those 2 photos so doesn't look as good as it can.

I still have new hair coming through as I can feel stubble on my scalp, so it is still thickening up. All in all, I am extremely pleased with the result.

That is an unbelievable result that too for seven months. I can imagine the final result at the end of 1 yr. Hey litesport, I too had a hair transplant with Dr. Radha of 3700 grafts 2 months back. I wanted to know what was the recipient area in cm sq that she covered for you. I would really appreciate it if you could give me your email id. Thanks

Hi litesport.

Looking very good, I'm going to do my ht with dr Radha in April. She is very busy and couldn't do my ht sooner. I'm based in Perth Australia. I'll be coming to Singapore and then on to India. I would like to see your ht and ask you some questions? This is my email address.

Thanks mate
