Regular Member jdubdoubleu Posted May 15, 2012 Regular Member Posted May 15, 2012 I had my HT on April 25th. Is it ok now to start using my normal shampoo or should i still be using the shanpoo they gave me?
Senior Member TakingThePlunge Posted May 15, 2012 Senior Member Posted May 15, 2012 jdubdoubleu, Advice varies from doc to doc and it's best to consult your own hair transplant surgeon. Not all clinics even provide any special shampoo. Generally speaking, it's perfectly fine to shampoo as normal with regular shampoo 10 to 14 days post-op. Senior Member michaeljames Posted May 16, 2012 Senior Member Posted May 16, 2012 Hey Mate, After this amount of time there should be no issue with using normal shampoo. The follicles that have been transplanted usually set after 4 days. It is really up to your personal HT surgeon to decide the best time for you to return to normal shampoo's, but I'm sure 3 weeks will be more than enough time even in their opinion.
