4,000 fue with Dr. Bisanga

@ Can't decide, thanks for the comments. The area you're talking about on the right side is where I had a swirl. I didn't ask the doc how many grafts were placed in each location but I wish I had. My fairly confident guess is that about 300 went into that area and about 1,000 in the crown overall. I agree that this area can make a big difference since it can be seen from the side. Have you set a date for your next op?

@ Stinger, thanks. I have worn my hair as low as a 1 guard on the side and back but most of the time I go to a 2 and fade up as that is the style I like best. However, if I wanted to shave it to a zero it would look fine also (at least prior to this op anyway). As for the fue technique, I know several people with high numbers. It seems to work best broken down into smaller ops but otherwise not much difference imo. I didn't ask this time how many more grafts I have but I would imagine that I could get a few more if needed but probably just a few hundred. I also had a few beard hair fue and have plenty of those left if needed. I didn't ask about punch size this time, but I did during one of my prior ops and I think it was .75 or .80. He uses difference sizes for different things but generally they are small.

Thanks for the response. I have not set a date for my next op but most likely it will be next summer.

Congratulations Levrais.

I know you have had two successful surgeries from Dr Bisanga, and I am sure this will be exactly the same and the icing on the cake.

Keep us posted.

2 poor unsatisfactory hair transplants performed in the UK.

Based on vast research and meeting patients, I travelled to see Dr Feller in New York to get repaired.

Hi All,

I have gotten a few questions about my donor area and white dots, etc. The first pic below is my donor shaved to zero 16 months after my second procedure i.e., after 4,000 fue. The picture following that is my donor prior to any procedure. Interestingly my virgin scalp has white dotting. Perhaps from acne as a teenager, who knows.

Comments welcomed.

Hi All,

Here are some updated pics at 3 months post op. I made it through the ugly duckling phase. Its hard to tell from the pics whats going on but there are some news hairs coming through which is always a good sign at this stage.

Thanks Mickey. Yea the donor is pretty solid. I'm told I have more grafts in the bank if needed also.

Indeed :) How is Bisanga in person? As in to talk to? Does he take his time? Is he personable?

Mickey,

Dr. Bisanga is quite easy to talk to and very personable. When I was consulting with him, he put me at ease very quickly and spent quite a bit of time discussing not just my goals but about the ht industry in general.

Nice. I haven't seen any interviews from him and his non-involvement with forums(I know his reps are involved) have made him a mythical figure almost. I'm a big fan of his work both FUE and FUT, it all seems very consummate from his extraction patterns to his intricate suturing.

johnny, please let me know how it goes. since u are in belgium i hear dr de reyes is also a good fue doc. since your there maybe try to visit him as well.

No problem Stinger. I have actually emailed Dr. De Reys, but have not yet got a response. I will probably give the clinic a call. All going well I will be able to fit him in too. I will probably create a thread after that weekend, and document my thoughts on each consultation. Keep an eye out!

No I'm in Ireland. I'm just going over to Belgium for the weekend, purely for HT consultations! I'll probably end up getting in the range of 2,500 - 3,200 I'd imagine, going from patients cases with similar characteristics, but I'll have a much better idea after that trip.

What are you currently looking at in terms of HT?
