Regular Member Dr. William Reed Posted April 1, 2012 Regular Member Posted April 1, 2012 These photos represent the first of two or three planned procedures to manage this 47 year old man's hair loss. The total grafts were 3071 from a maximum harvest and the followup photos are 7 months after the procedure. The second procedure which is anticipated to occur at about 12 months after the first is expected to yield in the range of 2500 grafts. Regular Member hiflyer Posted April 2, 2012 Regular Member Posted April 2, 2012 Hi Dr William. Frontal hairline looks really nice. Is this patient planning for a next sitting to get the crown done or it just meds to manage the crown ? My Website : http://www.hairtransplantnetwork.com/blog/home-page.asp?WebID=2364
Regular Member Dr. William Reed Posted April 3, 2012 Author Regular Member Posted April 3, 2012 Thanks. Yes, he's going to do one or two more procedures to get reasonably dense coverage in the crown. I think he's old enough and has maintained enough density of fairly big diameter hair to let him have this option of going into the crown. I doubt that meds alone would do enough for him. I may have omitted saying that he started finasteride at the time of the procedure. William Reed, M.D. Member of the Coalition of Independent Hair Restoration Physicians

Regular Member alkijinky Posted April 9, 2012 Regular Member Posted April 9, 2012 Hi Dr William, what does FUG MEAN? I know about FUT AND FUE, Thanks
Regular Member Dr. William Reed Posted April 11, 2012 Author Regular Member Posted April 11, 2012 Sorry to use an abbreviation that I hadn't defined. FUG stands for "follicular unit graft". William Reed, M.D. Member of the Coalition of Independent Hair Restoration Physicians
