I just got Nanogen, and am hapy with the result so far. Is it okay to go to sleep and leave it in overnight though?

I'm sure this has been mentioned before but I cant find a specific topic just for leaving a concealer in overnight.

As a general opinion, you should wash concealers out. Some block the pores of the follicles. Joe from H&W showed a case once where a patient had a make up type of concealer in his hair that produced black heads blocking the pores, can't see normal concealers doing that but might as well avoid this by washing the hair at night & not worrying about what if.

I just started using Nanogen too. I do not shower or wash mine out before bed. I shower at 5AM every morning so I cant see how 6-7 hours is going to make a huge difference. Have noticed zero stain on pillows thus far. But I am new to this and will let you know if my routine changes.

BTW....this Nanogen is amazing stuff. I even bought some for a friend with a very defined small bald spot on his crown. He has black hair. I showed him last week how it works and after we applied it the dude almost got emotional how well it worked. I mean his bald spot was freaking GONE!

The only issue I can see is upon extreme close inspection someone might notice something is up, like if someone was standing right over you at the office looking over your shoulder at your computer or at a sporting event sitting on the row above you, maybe in the dental office chair...but in like 95% of circumstances it seems it really works great....I am quite happy how well it works.

Thanks everyone for the responses. I have left it in overnight and have been using it for a week. So far everything seems okay but I did not use it over the weekend and it looks like my hairloss got alittle worse.

It could be 3 reasons though...

1.) i'm used to the way my hair looks with the nanogen now.

2.) by leaving it in overnight clogged the pores

3.) the chemicals used in these concealers actually make thining hair worse

I'm very happy with the results when nanogen is on my hair but I just hope its not actually damaging it.

Sleeping with Nanogen wont do anything. Its just rumors. Actually washing your hair twice a day will be the factor of damaging it. With Toppik it develops itching feeling only because of using sheep wool. Unlike Nanogen which is really great.

Dutch. What Joe was talking about was DERMMATCH. I asked him personally. Dermmatch is blocking the pores. It sits directly on the scalp. Unlike the Nano fibers, Nanogen stated in its website that its 100% safe to sleep with.

Hariri is right. Dermmatch causes docs more concern since it is applied directly to the scalp. I do wash my dermmatch out at night before bed with a cheap, gentle shampoo and I don't notice any hair damage. I just do it quickly and towel off.
