Well I'm 5 weeks post op so decided to do a comparison of my last op to this and everything seems to be going a lot better. I removed my staples at 26 days as I found a new job and went back to work so wanted them out I could of easily kept them in 30 days but felt they weren't doing much at this point, strangely after 2 weeks the annoyances of having staples disappears and you don't know they're there. Anyway the scar so far has minimal shockloss and is still pencil thin as oppose to last time it had a lot of shockloss and seemed to be stretching I can tell my scar is thin now because I can see the red lines from the staple pins are both still very close and parallel.

In the recipient area last years massacre shockloss at 5 weeks has not been repeated this time I believe the shockloss there is minimal too so it's all coming nicely so far I'll add pictures when not on my iPhone. I believe all my newly transplanted hairs have shed now because the bottom of my crown which is mainly made up of hairs from this Ht is now very bald again.

The only negative thing is I've had some belting headaches so I need to do some tests to see what's causing them I think it's one of two things I sleep on a face pillow now so my scar is never touching a pillow the top of my head hangs off it and as a result of this when I wake up my scar feels a lot fresher and less irritated or it could be because I've switched to romaine foam.

Thanks guys I don't think it's possible to be in a better situation 5 weeks after a ht it seems it's all going my way so far but there's still time for sheds and stuff. Lol The pictures I took today have blown me away if I have indeed lost all my new Ht hairs then this should grow back looking really well I'm hoping this is the case and not the fact that new Ht hairs haven't shed yet.

Oh and strangely the staples didn't hurt any more removing at 26 days than 14 days.

Just realised I'm 4 1/2 weeks post op as February is 29 days.

Based on vast research and meeting patients, I travelled to see Dr Feller in New York to get repaired.

Great stuff Bonkerstonker! Thanks for keeping us updated. I'm glad to see the dreaded shockloss monster didn't strike this time. Shockloss is the only thing I fear about transplant surgery.

Finasteride 1.25 mg. daily

Avodart 0.5 mg. daily

Spironolactone 50 mg twice daily

5 mg. oral Minoxidil twice daily

Biotin 1000 mcg daily

Multi Vitamin daily

Damn, with all the stuff you put in your hair are you like a negative NW1? :D

Cheers dudes. I've put my new 5 weeks pictures on my blog if you check the difference between the 5 weeks pictures of my previous ht you'll see what i mean about how the shockloss monster is holding punches for now.

Dutch get your pictures pal I'm proper dying to see your transformation.

Aaron yes it wasn't that bad at all really I just got used to them I could of gone a lot longer but I have to admit as soon as they came out there is a moment of euphoria like a real up beat feeling I suppose it's like if you live high in the mountains where there's not much oxygen then you love it when you come down to sea level.

8460 but I've kept a regrown a lot of hairs with meds so should have some decent coverage soon, Dr Hasson said before my first op that I had about 20000 minoxidil and native hairs when he looked pre op. I was looking the other day how far I've come over the last 12 years and it is a very long way once the ht has grown in I'm gonna do a comparison on my blog from before meds and hts.
