Regular Member Dr. Vito Quatela Posted March 6, 2012 Regular Member Posted March 6, 2012 This 73-year-old male returned for a second session of 2,000 grafts. In 2009, he underwent a session that resulted in the placement of 2,470 grafts which created a new hairline and central tuft. At the most recent session, the team placed a total of 2,091 micro-follicular units of which 851 were single hair grafts, 1,027 were two hair grafts, and 213 were three hair grafts. Single hair grafts were placed along the hairline, with two and three hair grafts used in the central tuft. The areas that were previously addressed were expanded and made more dense using the stick and place method with 19 and 20 gauge needles. Some of the grafts were doubled up to create more density. The patient was very pleased with his results.
