This young man presented with unhappiness over his previous surgery performed elsewhere. He said that he’d had 250 FUE’s done and was told to do the entire front with about 700 FUE’s in 3 sessions by the doctor. When he presented to me, it looked like fairly large punches were utilized.

I offered him a strip surgery, to both pack the entire thinning area, and to excise some of his scarred donor area.

When his hair was cut down to ? inch for slit placement, you can count the fairly chuncky grafts previously placed, and we simply packed lots of hair around them and in the entire recipient zone.

Shown are periop, 1week, and 6 week pictures when most of our work has already shed. Hopefully we’ll see some growth in early summer and a final picture next holiday season. He received 2071 grafts for this repair case.

Dr. Lindsey, great strategy. I consistently keep seeing excellent results from your clinic.

Curious, are there any laws out there that protect patients from the "inhumane" treatment by certain "surgeons"? These procedures literally leave their patients scarred for life (or at least until they get another procedure to fix the previous mess).

Although I have been browsing this site for over a year, I never focused on the legal aspect of bad procedures.

Thanks for the comments. You know, shining dome, the best way to prevent this type of problem is pre-operative education. Forums such as this, greatly reduce the chances of really horrible outcomes.

Just like those investment firms' commercials say "past performance is not indicative of future results" similarly a bunch of good posted cases doesn't guarantee a patient that they'll get a great result...there are just too many factors including but not limited to: the doctor, the techs, the patient listening to instructions, patient physiology, expectation management, and some small amount of luck probably. But I think a prospective customer who can see that the group he/she is choosing will likely get a better result if the group they are using has a proven track record. That applies to hair, stock purchases, real estate sales, and many other parts of life.

The key is to educate yourself before making a big decision. No matter what the decision involves.

Clean & Refined. Gotta love the dense packing. This is going to look great. Nice work Dr. Lindsey.
