Regular Member time2throwoutthehatz Posted February 26, 2012 Regular Member Posted February 26, 2012 (edited) Hello, Just wanted to say hello to everyone as I just joined the community. I have a scheduled HT scheduled with Dr. Panine out here in Chicago. I've been doing research on this topic for about 8 years. I'm finally completely ready. I had my first consultation with Bosley who I see does not have the best reviews at about 23 yrs old and did not go through with it. I'm 30 years old now and cannot wait. Any advice tips. Was also thinking Dr. Konior, but felt very comfortable with Stuart and the consultation, and after seeing alot of Dr. Panine's work very impressed. Any advice, suggestions what to expect. I would appreciate it. Thanks Edited February 26, 2012 by time2throwoutthehatz want to add pics

He's got a lot of fans here and with reason. Dr. Panine regularly produces impressive and natural looking results. How many grafts are you planning? Hi there, Well we are starting at 3000-3500 grafts hoping he can definitely be more on the 3500+ side. Hoping for a nice result. Understanding a 2nd op will be needed for what I would like to achieve. I'm hoping to see good results from the 1st op. Any advice?
Senior Member Dutch Posted February 27, 2012 Senior Member Posted February 27, 2012 Personally I asked for overall coverage for my operation as I am a Norwood 5a. You seem to be a Norwood 6. So I would ask for light coverage on the crown and then you can concentrate on it for round two like I will be doing. I had 4703 grafts. I think that's better than just doing the first half and leaving the crown completely for the first operation. I'd use propecia and Rogaine foam as you have some native hair you would want to keep for as long as possible. I agree, you need at least 3500 plus for round one. If he can hit 4500 grafts then great as you will eventually need 6k plus to have a decent result & density to style it http://www.hairtransplantnetwork.com/blog/home-page.asp?WebID=2329

We'll see what we come up with.
