Just though id share my experience thus far and ask a few questions. Firstly after about 3weeks i swapped over from J&J Shampoo to Head&Shoulders to combat the dryness and Dandruff buildup, that never went too well. Within 5 days my scalp got worse and literally had what i can only describe as a thick film of skin with crevices\cracks over my scalp. Went in to my doctor and they kindly removed it with a comb. They never experienced this before, so i was a bit worried. I was prescribed a shampoo with SELENIUM SULFIDE and NIZORAL cream. All seems fine now 5 days later. I would like to ask if this would affect my newly transplanted hair? My Doctor says it wouldn't as the transplanted hair was safe after 7 -10 days already. My second question is around the donor scar, i have posted a picture and would like to know if the redness is normal for month post op. Also you thoughts on my donor area would be appreciated, 1200 grafts. Sorry for the bad pictures, they were taken with my phone. (Not sure Why those pics are sideways, lol)

Thanks

Hank.

Hank11,

Trust your doctor's judgement. After 1o days, the grafts are well protected below the scalp. It sounds like you did the right thing by seeing your doctor immediately and having this condition treated. I'm sure it will be fine.

Redness can last a long time. I was pinkish for months after each of my surgeries. It's hard to say how ling it will last for you as it varies by skin type.
