Heinz Posted December 23, 2011 Posted December 23, 2011 Hi all, I'm a 27 Asian male who recently noticed a freaking GIANT white spot in the crown area. I'm afraid that I'm suffering from crown balding but some ppl said that it's just an asian swirl (but it's kinda too big ). I'm really confused right now and would appreciate some feedback on this Btw, is hair transplant a good way to fix this? http:
Senior Member Cant decide Posted December 23, 2011 Senior Member Posted December 23, 2011 I know your only 27 but its not a huge white spot so try and relax. Its so hard to tell in pics but it looks like it may be the very beginning of some loss. I suggest getting it checked out and if it is indeed crown loss, get on Finasteride ASAP. Senior Member Thehairupthere Posted December 23, 2011 Senior Member Posted December 23, 2011 The area you're showing does look like the beginning stages of crown thinning, but it's still early on so you can still catch it by using rogaine foam and propecia. Consult with your dermatologist or a recommended doctor on this site to speak about possibly starting on this regiment. I am a consultant for Dr. True and Dr. Dorin. These opinions are my own. Senior Member Blake Bloxham Posted December 23, 2011 Senior Member Posted December 23, 2011 Heinz, I'm not convinced. In some images, it does look like the beginning of crown thinning. In others, it looks like a slightly larger than average whorl mixed with a combination of "fine" caliber hair. However, my uncertainity does tell me one thing: you should get it checked out. I highly recommend scheduling an appointment with a dermatologist or one of our recommended hair restoration physicians. Good luck!
