AA4301 Posted December 5, 2011 Posted December 5, 2011 Hello, I am 27 years old, and been losing hair on the crown and hair line for about 2 years, finally have decided to do something about it...started generic Finesteride 1mg per day (its been a month and a half), hair shedding has increased significantly but i know it will improve by the 3 month mark, or atleast I hope so, been thinking about starting the rogain foam, but wanted to get some feed back as to should i wait out the shedding from Finesteride and then start rogain, or it doesn't metter when i start rogain it will shed my hair regardless... also I have never taken any multi vitamin or any other types of supplements, but i have read that these do help making your existing hair healthier, so any suggestion would be appreciated.... Thanks
Senior Member Thehairupthere Posted December 5, 2011 Senior Member Posted December 5, 2011 The shedding is normal, but it can continue shedding until month 4-5 and around 6 months it should begin to stabilize and regrow and appear healthier. If you want to start rogaine you can start right away but expect some shedding from that as well with a similar timeline to propecia. I am a consultant for Dr. True and Dr. Dorin. Senior Member NEWHAIRPLEASE Posted December 5, 2011 Senior Member Posted December 5, 2011 I would recommend starting Rogaine right away to be real aggressive with your meds. One downfall of starting both around the same time is that is you experience significant gains you may not no which one helped the most, the rogaine or th finasteride. However, I highly recommend starting both now, or go ahead and get on rogaine. Vitamins to help- Biotin, MSM, B complex Newhairplease!!
