Alpecin Double Effect

I noticed my hair was receeding and I have been using alpecin double effect now for two weeks (alongside Regaine Foam for about a month applied in the temples), and have noticed that my hair feels extremely dry.

 

My hair has become very thin in the front and it feels like it is grouping/bunching together in small groups (i hope that makes sense and the pictures should help i hope!). I was wondering if anyone else has had any experiences like this? In terms of shedding i dont seem to see VERY MUCH when drying the top of my head after a shower, however do see quite a few hairs in my hands especially when shampooing the temple region (likely due to Regaine I HOPE)...
