To put it straight, You would loose your native hairs (not the transplanted hairs) if you stop taking Propecia.

People who undergo HT are usually prescribed/advised to take Propecia or Finasteride to save their native hairs. Otherwise chances are that you might loose you native hairs and you would be chasing HTs entire life and also run out of donor. So it makes sense to take Finasteride post HT.

It depends on where you are losing your hair and what your family history is like. There are a lot of factors involved. If you are losing your hair in the front you will probably be good with a transplant and not lose a ton more. If you are losing in the crown area, you will mostly likely lose more if you don't stay on Propecia. Again, family history is a big factor too. It is up to you though how long you are willing to stay on the medication.
