Mayur Posted November 3, 2011 Posted November 3, 2011 (edited) Hi Guys I need your assistance ...... I had 2 surgeries of more then 4700 grafts (2400 +2300 ) with Doc Humayun Mohmand . I am extremely happy with result from first ops however having bit of reservation about second I am unable to observe any difference on crown area which is sort of bench mark for me for success of second surgery simply because baldness is quit visible there . Front is better from 1st surgery but not sure about exact effect due to last surgery as second transplant was performed just after 10 months from 1st one so full effects from 1st transplant was still on card plus I have existing hairs as well. I am not sure about exact grafts placed on crown .I am attaching my post ops pics just before & after 1st ops and result after 2nd Surgeory which is heading toward more then 1 years 2 months old now to give you an idea. I was told before second ops that I will same result in my crown as first. You can visit my blog (mayur) as well for more pics Hair Restoration Site for mayur Can you guys please advice your comments 1) Is result really worth of 2300 grafts on second occasions ? 2) I am more concerned about result of crown area ? I cant see any improvement there .what do you think ? Much more appreciated if provided answer for both question in yes or no and then follow up with your thoughts . Also please don't compare result before 1st surgery because result was exceptional 1st pic : Result after 2nd transplant session with Dr Humayoun 2nd pic : Pre ops pic of 2nd Surgery 3rd pic: Just after Second Ops to give you an idea about grafts placement Thanks Regards Edited November 3, 2011 by Mayur Spelling mistakes
Regular Member Aski Posted November 4, 2011 Regular Member Posted November 4, 2011 dosn't look like he touched the crown up with dense placement of grafts so im thinking a third procedure would definately do the trick.... by the way do you use propecia?
Senior Member RodG Posted November 4, 2011 Senior Member Posted November 4, 2011 Hi, It looks like the second operation really thickened up the front for you. The crown is sparse but without providing how many grafts were transplanted it is difficult to any comment at all. Have you contacted the clinic to obtain details? Regards Rod
Senior Member Tao Posted November 4, 2011 Senior Member Posted November 4, 2011 From what I can see, it doesn't appear many grafts were actually placed in the crown. And to get a cosmetic effect in the crown, a lot of grafts have to go in there. My Hairloss/Transplant Website: http://www.hairtransplantnetwork.com/blog/home-page.asp?WebID=1772
Senior Member hairthere Posted November 4, 2011 Senior Member Posted November 4, 2011 It looks like you had very few grafts in your crown, You will need at least another 1500-2000 to fill that crown in. Mayur Posted December 28, 2011 Author Posted December 28, 2011 (edited) First of all sorry for late reply due to busy schedule and holidays Thanks for all who replied on this thread ... Based on your comments it look like that I need another surgery on Crown area .However I am still unsure about result and impact for second session only on front and middle as most of us are agreed that not enough grafts were placed on crown Anyway based on comments provided , I had decided to go for 3rd surgery with Dr Humayun and received 1997 grafts on my third visit . it took make my total tally to more then 6700. I am hoping that I don't need another one though my finger is crossed . Please feel free to post ur comments Thanks Hair Restoration Site for mayur Edited December 28, 2011 by Mayur
