Guest Dr. Marla Rosenberg Posted October 18, 2011 Posted October 18, 2011 This is a 21 year old male who began thinning in his mid teens. I saw him for the first time when he was 17and ? years old. He was extremely self conscious of his hair loss, always wore a baseball cap and walked with his head down. At that time, I gave him a prescription for Propecia and Minoxidil and asked him to follow up with me every 6 -12 months. I saw him yearly from that point on, his hair loss in the mid-scalp and crown seemed to have stabilized with perhaps minimal improvement in the crown. His frontal area gradually thinned with deeper frontal - temporal recessions. He was 21 approx one year ago and underwent his first transplant to the hairline zone and frontal 1/3 of his scalp as well as the anterior lateral hump zone. 2300 FUs were transplanted.

Senior Member Blake Bloxham Posted October 18, 2011 Senior Member Posted October 18, 2011 Dr. Rosenberg, Thank you for sharing this interesting case. The work looks very refined and natural, and I'm sure this gentleman is thrilled with the result. Nicely done! Senior Member Shadow of the EMpire State Posted October 19, 2011 Senior Member Posted October 19, 2011 The result looks good at the moment, but nothing can convince me that transplanting a 21-year-old kid is a good idea.
