just my 2 pennies worth.

I tried to contact the nobel clinic via email on their website back in may, and in return i got an email from ulf kienecker. I met him the same day for a ?35 consultation, in one of those day rate serviced offices on oxford street, it was an empty office ulf had hired for the day with just a table, no paperwork and ulf and his laptop pc. he seemed polite and pleasent enough.. he told me he had worked at nobel in its last days hence why the email was referred to him. He spoke of doing a strip surgery on me to thicken the right temple 250 grafts for ?750 which was his start up point for operations. He said he could do the operation within 4-5 days notice as that was what i asked for, but said he would need to find a place to do the operation so would get back to me via email. he also said the difference to the right temple with 250 grafts would be "a noticeable improvement"....He didnt try and sell more grafts , than again i told him the ?750 entry offer was the only one i had money for. he also didnt have any evidence of his previous work on his computer. None of that is suspicious imo

I gave it a days thought and said i didnt think it was worth cutting my head open again just for 250 grafts.

4 months later i tried to look for his website again, and the costs had tripled.altho in fairness the website didnt have his name affiliated on it anymore so maybe that was nothing to do with him.

All in all, i cant comment on his surgeries as I wasnt presented with any evidence of them. There was a website called kienecker medical which set out his qualifications and it all looked proffesional. All i can say is he does have some affiliation with the nobel clinic, and he does seem to operate as a freelancer for different clinics. As a person he seemed polite, not a hard sell merchant at all , , but someone i did get the impression takes on any kind of work as he needs to make a buck

hi guys,

i have had a similar problem to a few other members in this forum. being naive and lacking research resulted me in giving london hair transplant clinic ?500, approx. half deposit. 2 weeks later i realised these guys seem a touch dodgy and newbies in the area of transplants. so i called the zach/zakariah dude for a refund however the main man in london said that was not possible since it had been more than 7 days. now they have been holding my deposit since october last year (atleast i learnt a lesson at this cost) and i have just got round to attempting to sort this out. again my consultation was in machester in a rent a room with a laptop and a very obnoxious salesman prior to me using the groupon and committing to payment (zakariah did not send me any info he promised about it being outside of harley st/london only the name of the doctor and general questions regarding their experience and expertise. so basically i used the groupon code/promotion to get the offer but made a direct direct payment to the LHTC account/bank transfer (zakariah dealt with this) so i did not use the groupon payment page/bound by that contract. so what should i do to get my money back? any advise would be much appreciated as these guys are clearly cowboys and i hope they learn to improve their service instead of pretending they are harley street practice. i have still have my text messages for the deal and reciept of payment by bank/copy of groupon page offer which states ''Close to Oxford Circus and Bond Street''. cheers.

I went for a consultation in Manchester with Zak - he was forty minutes late, and yes, it was just an office and and a laptop. He actually just took some photos of my hair and that was about it.

He says I need 2000 grafts (?3,500). Elite hair used a specialised optical device to check my hair and estimated 1,500 (?3,750).

While I was put off a little by Zak and also some of the things I've read about the way the LHTC conduct the business side I have read good things about Dr Ulf Keineker. Zak showed me a strip (FUT) scar that was almost invisible, he said Keinecker was only one of three surgeons who could do this. This is why I am tempted to go there. (also, he has his own practise seperate from the clinic)

an e mail from a Vicky Strong at LHTC said he was member of International Society of Hair Restoration Surgeons BUT I read on one of his profiles where it said "was" a member.

I'm confused - does anyone have any more info on this surgeon?

thanks

James

Mate, as far as I am aware, membership of the Ishrs, does not signify competence or excellence, although I will stand corrected if this is not true. As for the scar, there are many excellent surgeons on here who regularly produce very fine scars, so I am not sure where they got that assumption. I am not knocking this chap, as I have never seen any of his work. but if I were you, I would spend lots of time on here and other hairloss forums (hairlossexperiences.com is another excellent site) researching.

Good luck
