Senior Member BigBill1234 Posted August 4, 2010 Senior Member Share Posted August 4, 2010 Is it ok for my donor scar to still have a little scabs 13 days post op? I'm hoping this doesn't mean it's stretching and trying to repair itself...
Senior Member Fingers Crossed Posted August 5, 2010 Senior Member Share Posted August 5, 2010 Hey Bill, the same thing happened to me when I was 2 weeks post op. Continue to gently shampoo the area and eventually the scabs will come off. I know that area is really tender and it's hard to shampoo because you can't apply much pressure due to the soreness; however, shampooing becomes much more tolerable when the staples come out. Just keep working at them. My Hair Loss Website - Hair Transplant with Dr. Hasson
Senior Member RCWest Posted August 5, 2010 Senior Member Share Posted August 5, 2010 Might be from oozing, which can happen. If you have time you can wash your hair several times a day. Presoak the donor area with some conditioner for about 10 minutes. I've found conditioner is great for softening wounds. Finasteride 1.25 mg. daily Avodart 0.5 mg. daily Spironolactone 50 mg twice daily 5 mg. oral Minoxidil twice daily Biotin 1000 mcg daily Multi Vitamin daily Damn, with all the stuff you put in your hair are you like a negative NW1?
