3,148 grafts Female HT by Dr Cooley

Recommended Posts

This patient has grade II Female Pattern Hair loss. She was started on 5% minoxidil and underwent 3,148 FUT to the front/central scalp, using small needle slits to avoid damaging existing hair (the recipient area was not shaved). The grafts were treated with ACell MatriStem as well. The results are shown at 10 months. To what extent minoxidil or ACell contributed to the result is difficult to say.

Dr. Cooley,

Thank you for sharing this interesting case. The work looks excellent, and I'm sure the patient is thrilled with the results. Nicely done!

Stellar work Dr. Cooley! You gave that woman her life back.

Finasteride 1.25 mg. daily

Avodart 0.5 mg. daily

Spironolactone 50 mg twice daily

5 mg. oral Minoxidil twice daily

Biotin 1000 mcg daily

Multi Vitamin daily

Damn, with all the stuff you put in your hair are you like a negative NW1? :D

Looks great to me!

Her after photos must be showing her hair styled the way she normally wears it. I know that with some women patients, the strategy is to sometimes approach a transplant with her styling preferences in mind (for example, weighting the grafts heavier on one side more than the other to accommodate for a certain hair part position).
