Dr. Arocha - 2000 FUT, dense packing procedure, 1 yr+ results

This young gentleman came to see us for help with his receding hairline and thinning in the frontal area. Dr. Arocha performed a 2000 FU procedure to restore the framing of his face, and increase the density in the frontal scalp area. His goals were more than met within 4.75 months after his dense packing procedure. He returned after more than one year post-transplant for a follow-up visit. He is more than ecstatic with his results, stating that even when he was a teenager, before he ever had hair loss, his hair just never laid down as well as after his hair restoration. Christine, patient results such as these are always inspiring to read. Thank you for taking the time to post. Although I initially thought the 2000 grafts were a bit high for this patient, the density achieved and mirrored with the rest of his hair from the procedure looks pefect in the end result. Im also glad to hear the patient is just as thrilled with the results as any hair transplant doctor would be. Thanks again for posting!

Thanks for your kind comments. This patient hiked the South American Andes with a heavy back pack soon after his procedure. His donor scar while not bad is a little wider than our usual donor scars. When I had my tranpslant about 10 years ago, we never thought hair could look as thick.

 

When you say Dense packing - what exactly are you referring to. Obviously you are trying to get it as dense as possible, but what are you doing.

Dense packing means that Dr. Arocha creates tiny incisions (the sites) as close together as possible so that this produces a thicker result. Also because these incisions are as small as possible, the healing is expedited. Thank you for your kudos.
