Sunny,

Thanks for your reply. The old forum still exists but we're not going to be running them together. If we did, we'd end up losing a lot of valuable posts over on the old forum.

I did notice some latency in the new forum and have been in contact with the host to resolve it. I trust we'll be able to get it resolved shortly.

Best wishes,

Bill

We hope that you and other members of our hair restoration community like this new forum and the new Hair Restoration Social Network. We've worked behind the scenes for almost a year now to assure that all photos, posts, member info and URLs from our original forum carry over. Bill has really worked hard dealing with the many tedious details needed to make this happen.

We now really encourage you to report any issues or suggested enhancements by posting them on this forum or emailing them to Bill at help@hairtransplantnetwork.com

We will do every thing we can to make this the most robust hair restoration social community on the planet. So please let us know how we can make it better for you.

I wasn't a fan of the old board software so I think this is a vast improvement. I'm glad that everything has ported over and I haven't had to re-register or anything. It's lagging a bit for me right now but I'm sure you'll get that sorted. Nice job!

Bill and Pat,

Congratulations! The new community looks great. I'm sure this entire moving process was daunting, but I think it paid off. Let me know if there is anything I can do to help, and I'll make sure to keep the issues and enhancement email request in mind.

Guys,

Thanks for your feedback. This community's been a year in the making, so it's nice that we're finally live. We have found a few bugs, including an issue causing intermittent freezing of the site. I apologize for this, but we've narrowed down the cause of the problem and have our programmers working on it.

Tsakalos,

Hit me up privately and let's talk about this search feature. I did get your previous message in IM and I'll look at your site as soon as I can. Thanks for your suggestions.

Guys,

We've been working with the programmers and our host to solve the intermittent freezing of the website. In addition to some database optimization we're working on, we've just "supersized" the server in hopes that it will minimize or prevent this problem from re-occurring. I encourage anyone experiencing a delay now that we've upgraded the server to send me an email at help@hairtransplantnetwork.com or reply to this post.

We've also been made aware of problems some members are having with logging in. We've been working with our programmers to get this issue resolved ASAP. In fact, our accounting and photo specialist who was having problems sent me an email saying he could login now. If anyone is having login issues, send me an email and we'll take care of you.

Best wishes,

Bill

Dear members and guests,

We finally found the piece of code responsible for intermittent site lockups and have made the necessary adjustments to prevent this from happening again. I trust this, in combined with an improved scalable, "supersized" server will provide you with lightning speed load times :-).

We've also had some reports from members with issues of staying logged in. This problem has also now been found and rectified. I do know a few members have also had problems logging in consistently and this problem is still being looked into.

We're in the process of making a few cosmetic enhancements that will help make your experience even more enjoyable. I encourage anyone with additional suggestions to contact us at help@hairtransplantnetwork.com or to reply to this topic :-).

Onwards and Upwards to lighting fast load times and enhanced features,

Bill

Test. (I'm having trouble logging in and I'm not sure if I'm even logged in now).

Edit: I'm logged in and can post, but I'm asked to log in if I try and access my messages.

Matt,

It sounds like you are having a similar problem to me when I try to login using my IPhone. I've heard the same concern from a few other members as well.

I've reported this issue to the developers and am still waiting to hear back from them. To help us troubleshoot this issue however, what operating system and browser are you using? If you are using Internet Explorer, I encourage you to download and try using Firefox to see if you experience the same problem. Those who have reported the same problem you are having only seem to experience it in one browser. For instance, our photo editor can't seem to login via Internet Explorer but has no problems in Firefox.

While we're working on a more realistic long term solution, you may want to consider trying another browser as a short term solution.

Best wishes,

Bill

I'm using Firefox.

I have to log in with every visit, but when I do log in it takes me to another log-in screen, however if I go back to the forum list I find that I am actually logged in. Although I am still prevented from accessing private messages and, I suspect, other personal features.

No worries, I'm sure you'll get it fixed.

Matt,

Yep, that's the same thing a couple other members have reported experiencing. Fortunately, it's only happening to a select few. Unfortunately, it's happening.

Do you experience the same thing when you use Internet Explorer? Also, are you using a PC or a Mac?

Thanks,

Bill

Update:

Our programmers are still in the process of fixing several bugs we reported. Among the major ones are login issues (getting logged in and staying logged in using "remember me") and accessing the forum after logging in. Our programmers are aware of these problems and already taking steps to fix them.

We also had some site performance issues yesterday due to a site outage at our ISP (click here for details of the outage). They've thus been reconciled and the site appears to be running optimally again.

If anyone else finds any bugs or has any suggested improvements, we'd love to here about them :).

Best wishes,

Bill

Matt and Tsakalos,

We're currently working to fix the login issues so that you don't have to login each time. Since both the social community and forum have been integrated, it's not quite as simple as changing a setting - although I wish it was. But we do have our programmers working on this and hope we'll have a remedy in the next couple of days.

Thanks for the reminder :)

Bill
